THIS POST IS FULL OF DANGANRONPA ONE SPOILERS!
Jaye's waifu is Aoi and she's only played like 10 minutes of the game because she's bad at VN's. I didn't fall into the Chihiro trap :D but my waifu in the first game was definitely Sayaka who was the first to die.

Root Double - don't know enough about it
It seems to be heavily influenced by player decisions, and could have some bad things happening...
Also, it's got an achievement for unlocking all the CGs in a single file (no creative save-loading).
Sunrider Academy - Forgot about owning it
It's actually more of a dating sim than a VN. And it seems to be quite fanservicey.
Fruit of Grisaia - no achievements
Like they're everything...
Fault Milestone 2 - Started it, loved it, dropped it due to having lots of other things
Just do it! Or else Ritona could get pissed!
Higurashi Ch.3 - Seen the anime, love it, scared of being scared
This is quite weird to hear... especially after you said: "I want to watch some Higurashi now...."

Fault Milestone 2. I played the first one and loved it, and besides you should probably finsh a VN before starting another.

Um... Since you play Grim Dawn and you want to change of genre i cannot recommend you anything. RPG is the only right genre there is. And you can finish Trine 2 - i play this game with my girlfriend but even playing alone is kinda fun. Yes ;)
VN are not my thing. Tell no one T_T. Yes

Eden* - know nothing about it at all.
X-note - know nothing about it at all.
Played only those 2. Eden is kinetic VN. Eye candy. About 12-15 h to read it. Really good story imho. And you might cry like a baby xD
X-note - quite good. I liked visual side and choices matters - unfortunatelly - you have to "study" - which means completing minigames to earn one of three stats - If you study something wrong for your path - you might end up dead and start over (but game tells you what you should study on that certain route after death screen). Also you have to finish all routes to see whole story :) - it will take you about 10h.

I'd go with either Fault Milestone 2 or Higurashi Ch.3 since they aren't terribly long and are both from series you already enjoy. Root Double is also suppose to be an excellent suspense VN and I'm hoping to pick it up in the future when it goes on sale. If you want to know a bit more about it, here's a review written by a friend of mine.

Uhh no Katawa Shoujo? :(
Yes I definitely realized someone already said this
Hmm if G Senjou Maou? That was pretty awesome VN
Fate/stay night VN? PEOPLE DIED IF THEY'RE KILLED
Steins;Gate VN? MAD SCIENTIST!
Little Busters!, Rewrite, Angel Beats VN? KEY STRIKES AGAIN
Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate.. It's mediocre, but I like the atmosphere

For anime, I prefer fate/zero. But fate/stay night vn just, wow..
Tuturu
Time to feel again I guess?
I don't know
It's kinda announced but I guess it's not official?
Well Sonico is the closest one that existed on steam, because same developer.. If Sonico game sales is good, they might release Steins;Gate too

Doddler is doing a unity port of Grisaia so it should get achievements once it's done. The common route is around 20 hours long and it's filled with smug comedy moments, the 2nd half is more serious. It took me around 60 hours to finish it.
Sunrider Academy- I didn't really like it and dropped it after reading for a few hours.
Tokyo Babel- if you like chuunige then give it a try.
Root Double- It's directed by Nakazawa Takumi (one of the minds behind Ever17), if you like suspense/thriller with many player choices give it a try.
Higurashi Ch.3- It's Satoko's chapter and since you watched the anime you know what awaits you. (Have you seen my nii-nii?)
Eden*- it's a short kinetic VN, it has the same writer as ef: A fairy tale of the two. It starts of a bit Planetarian like with a post- apocalypse setting. Later it gets more group character focused.
If you want ''feels'' go with Eden*, Higurashi or CLANNAD.
If you need more VN recommendations or longer descriptions for the ones above let me know.

I'll hold off on Grisaia then! I'm an achievement whore at the minute....
Thanks for the low down on Root Double, I have to admit that's the one that's interesting me the most, it looks amazing. I started Higurashi because I'm a huge Higurashi fan, once that's done(its only short) I might move onto Root Double next to play alongside the next Batman game on my Batman marathon.

Hope you enjoy it. ^^
The funny thing about Root Double is that SekaiProject hired an hentai artist to do the art for it even though the game is all ages only.

I ended up playing Higurashi....RIP me. Nep-Nep burnout happened after the 100% of the first one, then I wanted to make sure I owned all the games before embarking on the journey through them. I'm due starting another one, I might try and 100% that one too but my friend said it was no were near as good as the first and was actually the weakest of the titles.
Nearly finished Batman Arkham Asylum now, moving on through all the Batman games because Mr. Nightshifty gave me Arkham Knight and I really wanted to play it, top wanted game for ages. That coupled with Telltale Batman coming out, I'm currently hammering Batman, may take a slight break inbetween to play smaller stuff but Nep-Nep deserves a marathon of its own.

Nep Re;Birth1 is a self-contained story, while Re;Birth2 starts a new one that continues into Re;Birth3 and Mega Nep VII.
It's true that most fans regard it as the worst Nep game (although I'm sure that title now belongs to Hyperdevotion Noire).
I saw you didn't play Batman Arkham City, so you should play it after Arkham Asylum, before starting Arkham Knight.
And if you want more superhero action, there's also Injustice to consider.

So I'm about to start my next VN in conjunction with my main game, I like having a few games on the go so I can jump between genre's if I get bored or stuck, currently playing Batman Arkham Asylum(for like 100th time, love it), Grim Dawn(with Jaye multiplayer, love it) and CoD(mindless shooty stuff, loving it) I need a VN though to fill my single player time. However I have a slight issue in I don't know what to pick, so help me out here guys and why I should play it! I've put a very short 1 line description next to each game as to why I've not played it yet. Options are...
Long Projects
CLANNAD - haven't started it yet, scared of crying like a baby
Danganronpa 2 - scared of my waifu being immediately killed off.
Root Double - don't know enough about it
Tokyo Babel - just bought it
Sunrider Academy - Forgot about owning it
Fruit of Grisaia - no achievements.
Shorter Projects
Fault Milestone 2 - Started it, loved it, dropped it due to having lots of other things
Higurashi Ch.3 - Seen the anime, love it, scared of being scared
Eden* - know nothing about it at all.
X-note - know nothing about it at all.
It is very possible that I've missed something out so you can check my library.
