me too, the reason is obvious "gaara" it's just a preset name for "phishing bot", usually someone with "trade knife" in the name is also a phishing bots
other names of phishing that i have blocked:

report one of his accounts and they most likely will remove all accounts, if they ever get round to doing so.

Based on what I am reading above, someone has figured out a way to bypass the "block" feature...

i just about 2 minutes ago had a link provided to me by a phishing bot, as always, reported.

I didn't report him, just ignore him because I never add someone I don't know who has a private profile. But after reading all the comments above now I want to do it. Anyone still has a link to his profile, just to report him?

He sent an invite to me once, I blocked him and haven't seen him since. Weird how block didn't work for you.

They have a pile of accounts, so blocking one just means they do it with another.

Been invited by this guy three times now... Guess all you can do is keep reporting and blocking.

he doesn;t even write back.... (forver alone...) I mean i accepted his invite then asked what he wants and he didn;t even respond, he writes nothing.....

well, this one seemed to have crawled this site for target profiles.

solution would be so simple: just do not allow sending invites until account has at least 10$ worth of games not given out for free.

or limit invites you can send to 1 per hour

Oh, I got two of those from him last week. Both are completely different accounts with the same nickname and avatar. You can't block him effectively because each of those friend requests is actually from a different account.

the guy makes another accounts over and over again - all with same nickname and avatar - that's why even if you block him he will still invite you from another account.

narutard bots, the worst thing

He is a known hacker, I blocked him and failed too.

He just sent me 2 more invites.
This makes it a total of 5 accounts he's tried to spam me with so far (at least named Gaara).

Steam better soon update friend/group invite settings, since this is getting outta control.
Since Nov 27th, i've blocked 21 profiles so far from spamming invites (2 to 4 of them were phishing profile comments).

it's weird...ive been on steam a few years now and have never had an invite like this...i only have maybe 10 friends on my list so that might have something to do with it
