Is there a Program/Script to check if the keys were already used?

I was told by someone one time that they had a program and could redeem multiple codes and check if they were used, and i wanted to know if that is legal, and if yes, what is the program/script if someone knows.

Unfortunately ASF uses the steam api to check the keys, which mean you can still get locked out of key activations after a number of used keys.

yeah, but what if i want to check if my keys were already used? i wanted to trade but im not sure
