In my opinion Rocket League if way too overhyped. The game looks good and its fun to play but not for a long time! You need friends to have some fun for a long time.
20$ is a huge amount. The Developers are working on a 4 pack or something. Wait until then i guess...

Okay, i hope i don't get booted for this, but screw it. I had the same issue with the Borderlands 2. Couldn't share a game i loved sooo much with my friends and family (who aren't really into PC gaming... YET :p). No split screen is effing infuriating in PC gaming (Still, we are the master-race).
You can find a torrent of it for sure and/or you can install steam on another PC with your account. Turn them both offline and play with LAN [gotta be connected to one network].
I am not sorry for this: Developers should keep love living with games put "Rocket League torrent" and look at the feedback then download.

Well, i do respect the rules and my profiles in every forum reflect that. I don't respect the idea of forcing two people to buy the game twice to play together. I played with my siblings and friends from a very young age and i am very disappointed in .... still, i started with "screw it" xD that's something that would get me to cross the line. Many companies crossed worse lines with EULA's
And YES. I pirate games i already own to play with my siblings. I have had enough and so did those who provide the cracked version. More than often you'll see "please support the devs if you like this". I do like_ nay, LOVE the game, but the game clearly doesn't support brotherly love (or romantic in the case here).

Have you tried No More Room in Hell? It's a pretty fun zombie game. Then there's Tera, a pretty damn good mmo from what i've heard.
Then there's vindinctus, that game is stupid amounts of fun.
Those are some good co-op games where you can play directly with your boyfriend. Perhaps you should give those a try?

You could try prizerebel. Its similar to tremorgames, or any other "do survey get money site". You do surveys and you get points. 100 points=1$. After you get enough you can redeem 20$ paypal. Last year there was a system that you could just submit any steam game and they would give it to you. But I can't find it now. Anyway, I can guarantee you that it works. I got a lot of steam games from this site, like Garry's Mod, Counter-Strike Global Offensive, The Orange Box, The Witcher 2 and many more...
