Hello,

as many of you know there's a program to farm Steam cards. Some, may find difficult to use ASF because it's a console application, so I made an user interface for make it simpler.

Requirements

  1. Java 8
  2. Set SteamOwnerID to your Steam64 ID +info.

How to contribute

If you have a GitHub account, you can fork it, use it, break it, fix it, trash it, change it, mail - upgrade it. and submit an issue or a pull request. If you don't just post a message.

Have you checked ASF-ConfigGenerator that you have your steam ID in the ASF page at the SteamOwnerID line?

Hi. I tried to use "loot" and besides not receiving a trade offer now I can't farm. This appears instead:

2016-10-01 18:05:18|ASF-4784|INFO|02|OnConnected() Logging in...
2016-10-01 18:05:20|ASF-4784|INFO|02|OnLoggedOn() Successfully logged on!

Thank you

EDIT: I'm only farming one account (my secondary account). Used my main account for SteamOwnerID

Hello.
I just updated to v0.3.7.0 and I don't see the program window.
The icon appears as active in the taskbar and when I press win+tab I get something like this

Any suggestions on how to fix it?

EDIT:
I can start farming.

Did you have this problem with the previous version?

A solution is go to C:\Users\<YourUser>\AppData\Local and delete the folder "alvr.me". You will need to enter the settings again.

I'm thinking in removing save window location as many users have this problem.

Since v0.3.6.1 (maybe even before but wasn't necessary) I encountered a problem after starting ASFui. It would start up as usual, then get stuck on "logging in". I started ASF manually and noticed it asked for my 2FA, this however never showed up in ASFui. I can vaguely remember being able to enter 2FA in ASFui some versions earlier, I am not sure though. After I entered 2FA in ASF, closed ASF and started ASFui everything was working again.

Guess I won't even bother reworking my stuff. It looks like you have everything under control and there is no need for solving solved problems ;->

I only have two things.

  1. The remote mode. If I enter a valid (local) URL (http://localhost:1242/ASF) I get an invalid URL message. I don't know if the WebRequest Class requires ports to be open, even if it's local. (I just wanted to try that method out). But ASF is running under that URL for sure.
In my eyes the biggest advantage of that mode would be to offer an alternative .exe that does not need admin privelege. (For the paranoid people).

  2. If you think it's usefull a "small" (alternative) GUI would maybe be interesting. Basically just a steamchat (so free Input, Output and a "Send" button) as requested by https://www.steamgifts.com/user/Tshakaar

Thats the only "usefull" stuff left on my List, which you haven't done so far ^^

  1. Is solved now, thanks for pointing it out. The method checked if the URL is XML, but it seems that a newer version replaced the page with a HTML one, so you need to add ?wsdl, but no more. Now I use MetadataExchangeClient which download the metadata of the service. If the service exists, then it should be a metadata, if not, wrong URL. This is better now because before, any XML url was considered valid.
Most people use local mode, maybe 0.2% use remote. ASFui has only been downloaded 871 times in total, and for execute ASFui in local, ASF must be run with administrator privileges to create the service. I know is possible to run ASFui like you did, but for non-experienced users would be a hassle. Besides, if an input is required, ASFui can't notify about that because it reads the output from the process it creates.

  2. I tried to make ASFui as complete and simple as I could, so the users don't need to write the commands or remember the format. If you want to make a "minimal" interface, you are welcome to fork and send a PR. The next weeks I'll have a lot of practices, exercices and exams, so I can't dedicate time to ASFui, but I'll fix small bugs.

You should choose ASF.exe. ASF-ConfigGenerator.exe is to configure your bots.

I have two requests:
1) Autoupdate function: is it possible to make ASFui check for updates (stable or beta channel) and update itself?
2) More an help than a request: I use ASF instead of IdleMaster to farm cards, and it works fine. However I see a lot and cool buttons (all grayed out on mine) and I was wondering about the possibilties of the application. Is there a guide to understand what they do/how to config?

Thanks!

  1. When an update is found your browser will open the page with the latest version. You only need to replace the old. Maybe in a future.
  2. You need to set up the SteamOwnerID with your SteamID. Then open the program and click "Start" or configure it first clicking on the wrench button. The buttons will be enabled once ASFui detect at least a bot is logged in. The buttons have the same function as ASF commands, if you want to know what each button do, just put the pointer in a button and a tooltip will show.

Released v0.3.9

Comment has been collapsed.

With 0.3.9 the app, on my pc at least, crash if there is nothing to farm.
I don't have a bot running, if this is useful, and running the ASFui when Steam was slow (just a couple of minutes after the sales started) got me a connection error to Steam (which is ok) but the app didn't crash.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

I tried and tried and can't make it work. I think it might be that ASF exits instantly after detecting no bot running, and ASFui can't close properly the process.

In other cases, ASF waits 5 seconds before shutting down.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Good that you spotted it, although regardless if delay exists or not, app should not depend on it. ASF exits with proper success exit code if everything is alright.

Great work, really useful and makes it a lot more comfortable.

Found a bug: Startall button returns "ERROR: Unknown command!"
I suppose the ", string.Empty));" part screws it up.

Also not-enabled bots aren't selectable, makes the single start button unusable.

With the recent redeem changes, I greatly prefer the one-button one-command approach and would like to see at least the standard redeem getting its own button back if not all others too.

Could also possibly a setting option be included to autostart asf on launch?

And the API results would fit better in a table (ListView).

Thanks

Comment has been collapsed.

  1. Yep, I copied from the start button, my bad. It's solved now.
  2. You're right. ASFui requires at least one bot enabled. If you have one or more disabled you can click StartAll. Now Start == Resume.
  3. It's only one click more :/ I'll make something with this then.
  4. Done in the latest beta.
  5. Do you mean something like this?
Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

2) But when starting with several disabled ones, that makes it impossible to start just a single one of those.

I suggest the start button getting a dropdown list (like current redeem) with all disabled bots to choose which one to start.

3) one click more once, but having to do that tens or hundreds of times quickly looks different ;-)

Every other action has a dedicated button (I like that) why change now (on the most frequently used command even)

4) nice ^^

5) yep, current MessageBox quickly reaches screen height limit with several bots, basically unusable ;-)

new 6) Possible to get a settings-option to make it not go to tray when minimizing?

I have just a question. What is the difference between the two Redeem buttons and what is the Licence button for?

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

"Redeem^" force forwarding to other bots. If the bot you select already has the game, ASF will try to redeem in the next one.
"Redeem&" is the opposite. If the bot you select has "DistributeKeys": true in the config, ASF will ignore that and won't try to redeem in the next bot.
"Add License" will add the game to your account. It must be an appid and a free game, like TF2, Paladins, etc... or Limbo when it was free.

Found ASFui freezed/crashed this morning, no idea why.
If we could restart ASFui with having option to attach to existing ASF process would be nice.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Thats not possible. ASFui needs to start ASF or else it can not read output or give iput.
It should be possible to still give commands, using remote mode (but that is prevented by the ASF already running check).

But "reconnecting" to the previously started ASF Process is impossible. (or rather really hard to achieve, only with code injections, which is a path we don't want to go)

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Ok, thanks for reply.
I thought it would be possible. But it is probably not possible or easy in "local" mode in the way you mention, as you say.

Now, I am just checking this : https://github.com/JustArchi/ArchiSteamFarm/wiki/WCF
If ASFui is launched already, I can launch ASF.exe --server and use ASFui setting to "remote" mode with http://localhost:1242/ASF value.
The problem is that when I leave ASFui and restart it again, ASFui is doing a check it should not do, and prevents me from launch ASFui :
in remote mode, it should not forbid ASF from being already running !
I think the check should be only done when you press Start button (or when you launch ASFui with autostart option enabled), and only if in "local" mode setting.
Current workaround : if I rename ASF.exe to other.exe, ASFui doesn't detect it anymore, and I can run ASFui, then connect to current ASF instance. Though, it might make ASF auto-update fail. And in that "remote" mode, ASFui doesn't get console output itself, but it is not a big problem. Just that... ASFui Log stays... empty. ASFui sending commands, but not receiving/displaying replies.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Well the idea is, that for remote mode ASF is running on a different PC.
Maybe a "ASF is running already, connect remote" would be better. Guess we note that as suggestion for alvr ;->

But then you will not see any output from ASF and you will not be able to enter information (password, 2fa code and stuff)

Ok, I didn't know remote was one-way only. :-( Input is rarely required though.

(Stupid) bug since a couple of versions: after a while of leaving ASFui running the log is showed as empty since you scroll up and down on it, after that it will be ok for a while.

Permalink

Do you leave it running minimized?
Then the view does not get updated, which may cause this. But I was not able to reproduce it.

Edit: reproduced it, I have no clue. Maybe alvr knows whats up, but it's far from critical ;->
Maybe I have a look into it soon.

I got an error, I was adjusting Windows Color and Appearance and curiously if I change the Inactive Title Bar it changes the background of the output window of ASFUI

The latest ASF (currently preprerelease, source ins the repo) will break this (both) GUIs. The default WCF path is changed to "net.tcp://127.0.0.1:1242/ASF" and ASFui crashes on startup and mine crashes if you ask for a botlist (despite having set the new URL).
WCFName is replaced by WCFHost (ip) in the json.

Will look into it when I find the time, but just so you know. When Archi releases the new version everything will go ham.^^

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

ASF built-in WCF client works fine, so it should be enough to just use Net TCP binding instead of basic http one.

Jep, saw that commit.
Wasn't sure if it's really that easy since ASFui autodetects the URL (and I wasn't sure how). And I wasn't sure if I had time this week, to look into it.
But it just reads it from the config file and jep, it is that easy ;->
