My taste depends on perspective. If you are most people then you would think I have bad taste. Since the most popular things are not things that I tend to like.

But of course popularity does not equal quality in most cases, in fact it simply means that it's generic. The easiest way to get people to see this I find is food analogies. For instance most people's favourite kind of ice cream is something pretty specific and awesome. For instance chocolate chip cookie dough, or peanut butter cup caramel crunch or something like that.

But of course most people will realize that the highest selling ice cream is likely vanilla, simply because it appeals to the most people. It is the plainest and the least offensive to any one person.

Yeah I'll stop making myself sound like a snob now, carry on.
