Hello fellas, it's been a long time since we last met.
Today i'm gonna ask you something particular
Here's the matter (TL;DR beneath)

In these days I've been chatting with this girl and things are getting interesting.
She's making me listen new rock songs and we really love talk about it.
I was wondering if you could suggest me any good rock song which I can use to discuss about it with her.
I found really good songs myself but i would like to have some more.
Some rock, grunge or progressive rock is the ideal. Also, something with cool or "romantic" lyrics are even better. ^^

TL;DR I'm looking for some rock, grunge or progressive rock to "dedicate" to a girl (a friend). Something with cool lyrics is better :)

Thank you guys for the support.
This is also a new way for me to discover new bands and songs, same for the others :D
Be aware that you are really helping me ^^

It's certainly progressive rock and I thought it was romantic. But on the other hand I live with a malevolent cat rather than a girlfriend...

The novelty of the Bloodhound Gang rapidly wore off for me, but that was my favourite song for a while. Also I'm a big Nine Inch Nails fan but Cash did do the best version of that song.

Also I think I have giveaway up for at least one of your wishlist games if you can manage a few easy puzzles

It's all a matter of taste, and here are some songs I like.
The Mountain Goats - Up The Wolves
twenty one pilots: Stressed Out
Lukas Graham - 7 Years
And if you are feeling like rap;
Eminem - Lose Yourself

Before I start, I would strongly recommend you let her teach you and bond over the experience rather than ask us for info which you can use to impress her(?) (I feel that is what you are trying to do but I'm not sure).

Now on topic:

General:

Then there are the musts of REO Speedwagon, Styx, Van Halen and Nickelback >:P. This is not even getting into Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton and Santana but I have to leave for dinner (otherwise I'll be here all day).

I don't know this girl nor your relationship between you, but hopefully you'll be able to find something here. Good luck.

On a more serious note, this is some fine progressive rock from the 70's.
This is one of my favorite songs and finally this is great, too.
Good luck!

That aside, I recommend you, or anyone, to read some of Jaques Derrida words on love, he is a philosopher. I know this is not what you asked for but this man deconstructs many concepts related with love and gives you insight on many things about it.

Plus, some women find really attractive when you paraphrase some philosophical ideas on daily conversations.

Yeah, this is about as 'romantic' as I'm gonna get and I'm willing to bet your girl friend isn't familiar with it either. :P

Maybe you will be interested in Fates warning - not really romantic but definitely progressive (although I think it is classified as progressive metal not progressive rock): https://youtu.be/HfRwrIp9g4o

And Porcupine Tree in case you don't know it yet: https://youtu.be/hp0OXICuZek

You can always be a little more direct, although this is more of a dance-pop with a mild rock edge:

(And also apparently a song only Europeans tend to remember.)

Between what is considered rock in the 60s and rock now and all the different genres and subgenres that actually are called something-rock I have no idea what OP is looking for, honestly.
