Ambre is a visual novel that tries to put everything on the plot. While it does achieve a good story,this caused it to suffer from being poorly polished in other aspects. My guess is that as a game worked on and released in a month,time wasn't managed well,which caused the change from a not spectacular but respectable art at the start of the visual novel(even menu art) to Ambre being in the same torn dress in the whole after-twist part. Speaking of which,I think that it would be better to end the game sooner,right after the loop is fully revealed,rather than go over the key events again. Once the point was made,the rest of novel felt like it was dragged on that point with no actual contribution. It was too rushed to have any emphasizing effect.

A lot depended on the writing,as it had to present a story that would make sense after-twist using the same words without giving away anything about the twist before it happens. I think that it succeeded quite marvelously in this aspect; My only complaint is that with her small figure and childish altitude I honestly thought Ambre was a child,which caused me to be quite startled when Tristan accepts her as his wife,wondering what exactly I got myself into. I blame the art.

Is the feels strong in this one?

I remember playing this! At first I was like ick but then the ending floored me. I actually didn't see it coming.

Great! I was looking for Android VNs, because to be rather honest, I can't help but be distracted with other games when I'm on the PC. I can read these whenever, so that's real nice. Please point us to more!

Ambre is a very sad story. I'm not acquainted with any mentally ill people and cannot say if Ambre accurately depicts a real existing psychological disorder or it was completely made up for dramatic effect. However, the message this game conveys is entirely relatable: mentally ill people are not scary or dangerous, they're suffering and need help from friends and family.
I don't want focus too much on negative aspects of Ambre like sloppy sprites and not very good English translation because it managed to get to me regardless of these.

I don't want to end my comment on a sad note so I'll share the first guess I had about the twist: I thought that Ambre was actually a robot created by Tristan to replace his wife; anyone else had this idea?
