Waddup SG.

I kinda need something to screen to kids aged 3 to 10, halloween themed, feature lenght tops (1:30 hrs) can be something shorter too but it's 1:30-2 ish hours I need to fill.

Whatcha think about, this is for ESL kids too, so please have that in mind.

Cheers.

+1 even if it's more of a christmas movie

That's what I was gonna say, it's more of a Christmas movie than a Halloween one. But I will keep it in mind.

not sure for the -5 year old. I wanted to show this to my 3year old daughter few months ago and watched it first. I haven't let her watch it since I think it's a little too creepy

Damn there was an old Scooby Doo where they were at a school of monsters with a dragon and a volleyball match forgot the name sorry. It was movie length I looked it up it's called Scooby Doo and the Ghoul School

That looks like a good fit, it's "scary" (as in has monsters) but won't unsettle the kids, also Scooby Doo is kinda goofy so even if the language based humour is lost you still got slapstick to bck it up-

There is one part where Shaggy gets a mirror double the doubles face might be a bit scary to some.

i have no idea anything about this, as the trailer has no dialogue at all, but i saw it and it's too... unique to not mention
Howard Lovecraft and the Frozen Kingdom
NOTE: all things considered, i don't actually recommend it, i just bring it to your attention.
actual recommendation? Nightmare Before Christmas and maybe Halloweentown (live-action)

wait, what is ESL?

Will check Halloween town, thanks for the recommendation.

ESL is English as a Second Language, it's basically kids that are learning English.

Yeah, it's pretty good. Gotta rewatch it to see if it's not a bit too creepy for the smallest ones. I think it was PG but it's a kinda dark PG movie.

Maybe ParaNorman too.

Ye, its pretty dark and creepy for small ones. I think Hotel Transylvania 1 is better choice.

The Halloween Tree

I'm not sure how good it would be for ESL kids but this one is a yearly tradition around my house. The story doesn't pull punches while still remaining family friendly.

That actually looks kinda good, Imma check it out to see how difficult it is to follow and understand, but thanks a lot.

Not really a Halloween theme(if I remember correctly), but James and the Giant Peach or Coraline.

Yeah, Coraline could be a bit too much, depending on the precise ages. :)
Not a recommendation for the kids, but have you seen Pan's Labyrinth, now there are some disturbing images.

Tbh I can't really think of a good movie... The movies I remember in a halloween genre are for 16 or 18+.

The Casper the Ghost movies & cartoons perhaps ?
Although I don't remember how dialog-heavy they are, so I'm not sure how suitable they are for the ESL audience

Will check some of those out. I don't know how the 95 film might have aged, but I remember enjoying it back in the day.

I know it's shorter than what you're looking for but if you need a filler, It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a good one. It might be old but my nieces love it still

Over the Garden Wall, 10 mini series combined took 2 hours. Very cute and autumn-halloween mood.

Simpsons Halloween episodes :) There should be like 20+ of them. This is like the very best of Simpsons. Much recommended :)

Update: Thought now when I read that it's for kids from 3 to 10 - some of them might be too spooky :)
