If the dev gave you the keys without you asking, that's one thing; I did this once when a dev gave me a set of keys after giving him advice on (re)development.direction, then asked his permission to give them away here rather than keep them for myself. But "helping" a dev by asking for keys explicitly to give away is against the rules.
