Thanks for the link. That does look familiar. And yes, they gave most of us tokens at the start of last year's lunar sale, but not this time. I do hope the free tokens in the daily red envelopes will contain enough tokens for people to buy a badge at least.

If it did go up by 100 each day it would only take four days to get 1000 total: 100 + 200 + 300 + 400 = 1000. However, it doesn't look like they're doing anything like this: the second day is still 100. :(

Which, correct me if I'm wrong, can't be broken into gems, right? I'm stuck already with a super ugly, indestructable untradable event sticker from the winter sale, basically non-selling ugly emojis and backgrounds from Spring Cleaing 2019 and 2018, and a non-selling Gingerbread House for Euro Truck Simulator 2 which I also got during some winter sale. It's all littering my inventory. So no thanks, I rather leave those tokens to decay - at least tokens are not stored in inventory.

Sale event items are stuck in an inventory limbo of sorts, since you can't even trade them. It would be just another minor issue on Valve's plate right now. If you have a Salien 2018 showcase, try changing its items now. I'll give you a hint: you can't. That feature had been broken for over a month, it's been reported for just as long and Steam Support apparently doesn't care or can't fix it. As simple as that.

Its sucks though for people who receive a digital gift, as its stupid that they'd indirectly penalize people for receiving a digital gift instead of physical.
Perhaps they only care about preventing some of kind of abuse through redeeming digital gift cards, and they don't care if someone does it with physical cards?

I don't know first hand, but this indicates to me that there are two main ways of getting tokens, and just making a purchase using steam wallet funds (however those funds got there) is not one of those two ways (emphasis mine):

Well, I've come to terms with the fact that I will never get the 5$ off coupon so I don't care about their tokens anymore.
When I first looked at the store page, I was pleasantly surprised to see theHunter: Call of the Wild 2019 Edition being 61% off and was considering buying it. Well, fuck... that was apparently a pricing error. It's 51% off now. Imma pass. Might get a cheap game instead. Or not.

Without the pricing error, it's true that purchasing the 2019 Edition isn't worth it, compared to buying DLC's separately. You currently only save a few cents with the bundle, which kinda destroys the point of putting together a package like that. BUT... the pricing mistake made the 2019 pack almost 7$ cheaper than it is now. That made it very sexy.
