You still get full CV if you giveaway before the bundle. Also SG isn't about collecting damn CV, if you really think SG is just about CV then you're in the wrong place pal.
EDIT: And if you make something beside bundle giveaways you would still be able to receive CV even for bundles giveaways.

If CV that matters for you when you giveaway then it's the exact problem with the CV system, the site is made for giveaways, not whoring CV. Also if you made enough non-bundle giveaways the CV of that bundled game will still count

That wasn't the point of my message. My point is when most of the games in the library are marked. What would it be if only certain games are given away, and if that would damage the variety of games that are given away.
And the CV is an integral part of the giveaway system to weed out those that have helped SG and those that are just leeching off the system. If most games are marked and you have to buy certain games to up your CV just to partake in giveaways that require +500CV or something, than I think that the SG system is somewhat limited in the future.

Right now, there are about 550 items on the list, which is very much a minority, and many of those are just variations on the same title. Most games will never be bundled in the first place, and the rate of new games being released outstrips the rate of games being bundled quite easily. In short, it's not really a matter for concern, as it should never place significant restrictions on one's choice. There will always be many more games that are not on the list than are.

Most people focus on the CV. A lot of people buy games they're when they're on sale to boost their CV. A lot of people ask questions about their CV not increasing. A lot of people create giveaways with a 30.01$+ CV requirement. It's hard to deny that CV plays a big role here.

No, you will receive bundle CV depending on how much non-bundle CV you have.

Try giving away some NON bundle games and watch your CV climb since $30 is only the bundle limit for PURE bundle games. You get a % over that of non bundle value that is not allowed for pure bundlers (look up the formula and take a look at the FAQ while you're there...).
CV/bundle restriction is here to stay as of now and SG will be here so long as cg puts up with it and has helpful staff to keep up the tedious side of sorting things.

Jeebus.. I will quote my first message if people didn't bother reading through the whole message..
So this topic isn't a ''I want to get extra value added onto my account cause I bought the game before from steam!''. But rather..
Until new games all start being launched in bundles!

It already does this to an extent. But I see what you mean, in 4 years time, most likely, 95% of all games will have been in some bundle. There are loads of games many many people want, that are not on the site in any quantities to meet the demand, because SG does not like people giving away games that they may have gotten cheaply.
I guess all the really high CV people are just way to invested in the system to do what is best for the community. We should care about how many people want a game and how much they want it, not on if it is possibly that someone only paid 15% for it.

"I guess all the really high CV people are just way to [sic] invested in the system to do what is best for the community."
Is that supposed to be a joke? The people with the highest values don't even care about the contributor system. All the ones I know want it gone because they realize the harm it's brought to the community. What's best for the community is for the people who think they should get something for giving games away to leave it.

Reason why is because I could spend $1 on the Bundle, and then get $9 credited to my account because I gave away one of the games on it.

Consider that there's over 10 sites that give away games, and most of them have about 6-10 games in their roster. And consider that there's weekly bundles that also have like 4-5 games in their roster.
Quantity-wise.. I think that the new games don't even come close to the amount of games that go through the bundles.
So I think there should be an stagnation in a few years for games to giveaway on SG.
15 games released in June for windows, and I'm pretty sure that the amount of games which have been in bundles is at least 50 just in this month, most likely more.

Steam will never allow us to sell our games. Never. Period.

I don't think the bundle cap is likely to cause a problem. There are tons of bundles, true, but there are a lot of repeats, and most bundles are limited to indie games, so even if people stopped giving away bundle titles there would still be Amazon sales / packs / bonus copies of older AAA titles being given away. Plus, lots of people (myself included) will give away bundle titles just for the sake of it. I capped on bundle contribution a fair while ago, but I still run bundle giveaways, especially for games that I like and want to give other people the chance to play.
Maybe there would be fewer giveaways if some people felt there was no incentive to give games away, but I don't think the community would die, just change.

Maybe if when you create a ga you choose if you giving a tradable game (gift) or a key, if you giving a key of a bundle game you dont get value (or 10% of the value), but, if you giving a gift you get the value, the winner put a "Yes, i received a gift" or a "Yes, i received a key"
People will stop to complain about that and everyone will be happy

"Will they get rid of Steamgifts once it's possible to sell steam games?"

It can be a bit annoying when you have a game that you didn't know was in a bundle, and you realise you won't get CV. (And no, before you say it, I don't give games away for CV, but there's nothing wrong with wanting recognition for GAs, especially when there's so many rewards for having a high CV.) Unless you have a better solution though, what can you do? It's definitely something that needs to be there.

It will adapt, but also, there are still games coming out, and we don´know if this bundle system can go on without moderation as in the moment is great, but if you keep doing it people will stop bothering with regular sales.

I have recently bought the Humble Bundle, and as I had bought mc pixel before I bought the bundle from steam, I thought about giving it away. And than I remembered that I won't get any extra ''value'' onto my account.
So this topic isn't a ''I want to get extra value added onto my account cause I bought the game before from steam!''. But rather.. Do you think that steam gifts current system will be invalid in the future?
Cause currently every game that enters a bundle will be marked, and as much as I know, they will never remove the mark from the game. So once enough games have entered the bundles, and majority of the games are marked.. Do you think that steam gifts will continue functioning? Or will they try to change things up?
Will they get rid of Steamgifts once it's possible to sell steam games? (Which is one of their future plans, or that's what I've heard.)?
