really worth it , they did some updates since the game launched plus this the last fable game so better get it before they decide to remove it from steam ;) and forget about the dlcs ( not worth the money )

You only have 5 hours on it, though.

Why log 5 online hours though? The answers are out there.

I disagree. The game is easy enough. The unlimited resurrection phials make it a walk in the park. I've been doing the hard mode and it's still easy.

Funny, I was wondering the same thing. Never played any of the Fables before. But I've still got TW2 in my backlog and, gasp, Skyrim, so maybe I should play some other games before buying new ones.

NOT worth it due to lack to gamepad support.

What if I don't need gamepad support?

I played the original years ago, Trust me. A gamepad makes it FAR easier to work with. Plus you can't remap the keys either. I HATE WASD.

It says it has gamepad support? Does it not work?

DIdn't even know about this. Automatic dealbreaker for me. I muscled through fable lost chapters with a gamepad emulator. I just assumed anniversary would take the time to implement gamepad.

Fable was an awesome game. The anniversary though looked ugly. The lighting system they used creates too many shadows and while some might argue that its more realistic, it makes it look dull. Its the same problem that plagues Age of mythology remaster.

I would definitely recommend it. In fact, I'm probably getting it this summer sale. The only thing I don't like about it is the lack of character creation. For a game that relies heavily on your main character, creating it isn't really an option.

I played it on another persons account, and bought it for myself. I really enjoyed it. I also have a GA going on for it if you are on the fence.

As strangebedfellows said, lots of people have said that it's kind-of-sort-of a downgrade and only because, afaik, they didn't really release the original game as is. So, I guess buy it if you can't get the original. Otherwise, get the original.

Since the first Fable game is the only one that's not just okay but actually good, I suppose yes.

I have never played a Fable game, but I became interested recently and after reading and watching a lot of reviews I decided that I want to play the original, not the anniversary edition. I don't remember why, but a lot of people said the original is better.

My first RPG which will always have a place in my heart. If you've never played Fable or The Lost Chapters then yes you should 100% buy this. Great game on the PC. Looks good, runs good, supports controllers if that's your thing, etc.

If you played the classic fable then you will be dissapointed. Nothing change the textures are almost the same, bugs still there, controlls horrible (atleast when i was playing). Stick with the regular one

I only own TLC, but I admit that I did try Anniversary once (not on Steam), although I didn't play too much. TLC is simply awesome, one of the best RPG-s I've played. With Anniversary, well it's a bit different but for this money you still won't regret it.

Yes! Ohmygawd yes. I have the original on a disk, and purchased Anniversary this year. Or last... Idk... Thing is, I have finished Fable 4 times before, and had a blast for the fifth time due to Steam achievements which I've gathered 100%! This game is so fun...

Dlcs are a poop though, just bunch of outfits. Meh! Unless you want to dress fancy. Here is my fanciest outfit:
