Like you I hope my 1070-pc lasts 11 years or more, I am almost at 8yrs atm... But my i5-7400 may have a different opinion (it has started to suffer a little, especially during summer).

My previous rig was an Intel C2Q 2,6 Ghz, 6 GB DDR2 Ram and an AMD R9 270x 2GB.
Bascially from 2009 with a few minor upgrades (GPU, SSD)
While gaming having too many tabs open to look through a guide would mean the memory filled up and everything started swapping or even crashes 😆
