So long story short, 12 days ago my giveaway finished and I sent the key to the winner but until now they still haven't accepted it.
I've checked their Steam account and it's not activated but they were online on both Steam and SG multiple times.
Can't reach out so 4 days ago I sent a ticket to request a new winner but support still hasn't answered.

Now my game is sitting in a limbo basically and I don't know what do do with it. Do I have any options besides praying that someone finally does something?

There is not.
You have to request a new winner from support. They will either approve or deny the request once the reach it in the queue. Remember support are volunteers.

Pray more? They are slow, but usually they respond.

you can request a new winner after 7 days, just show support proof that you tried to contact them

maybe he/she traded the game key with someone instead of activating it on his/her own account. This happened to my friend once. Before requesting another winner make sure that key is still valid.

That is my worry too but how exactly do I check a key without activating it?

There's no way to check if a key is still valid without activating it but there is a green eye icon next to the key in case the winner looked for the steam key. In such a case you should make a request received ticket.
Edit: NoSenses was faster.

Didn't send any screenshots yet. Only the 7 days have passed before I requested a new one. (12 days now)

A advice for the next case(s).

Delete the key from the GA (of course not from your source you copied it^^), if someone don't seen the key after 7 days.
Request there a reroll of the winner.
That prevent that someone can come along after 12 days to activate the key because the support was "too slow" for the reroll.

The "always/multiple times around" users are, mostly, autojoiner accounts that only get checked from time to time if there is a win. Normaly they do it each 4-5 days.

Of course not each one that need long to activate a key is automaticly a autojoiner but you see the difference between both very fast when you look into the stats of that account and how he act in the comments.

Ps.: Yes, you found one.
