Portal hidden "Sparta" texture?

Well, I was cheching some video game facts and I found this

It says you can see it by exploring the "portal content.gcf" archive with the GCFScape .

I dont have Portal, so can anyone proof that this fact is true? Seems interesting.

What's so interesting about this? It fits Portals humour pretty well and was then just scrapped, as it seems.

Because it was scrapped? There's tons of textures and shit in tons of games which were never used.

They probably designed an area to use it and decided to just leave it out. Who knows, but I've never seen it in game.
