Authenticator is such an annoying security measure even the word is annoying.

You could use the Steam Desktop Authenticator or WinAuth to have the authenticator on your PC (at your own risk obviously as that sort of defeats the purpose of "2-factor").
Plus, the cards of this sale do not seem to expire like they used to in previous sales (or Valve just forgot and an expiry date will be added later).

I used to spend time on sales getting cards and selling them. Tried that now and I get that I need a mobile authenticator. It was a waste already, spending all that time for a few dollars, but now it's extra bothersome. I guess it's a good thing. "Free" money is always nice, but it's better to put that time to other uses.
