Hi!

Strange question here.
We have a giveaway group, and one of my friends bought a copy of 7 Days to Die (on G2A i think) for a christmas event, he received the email with the link and clicked on it (he has the game already on the account). Now the "received a gift" window is popping up, he hasn't accepted neither declined the gift, but the window and the notification is there. It's possible to re-use the same link, and the next person who click it "takes away" the gift from him, or the copy is lost? Thank you.

Well, you can always try to click with the correct and initially intended account :D Tell us how it goes.

Sure, but we need to wait till the event ends before we can choose a winner :D

Ah, I wasn't aware the event is not over. Yes, it clearly says "christmas event", serves me right for replying without having the morning coffee alright xD

Perhaps he did get it as a gift. Did you check his Steam inventory?

If it's a Humble Bundle link, it's still good. You have to claim it on that page to use it. Moreover, claiming would result in a Steam key, which would also be unused until activated on Steam.

You'd have to contact the seller and explain that the item was not purchased for personal use and would be sent to someone else, if it is a Steam gift window. If it is a HB gift link, the link can be redistributed any number of times before someone claims it.
Why do this instead of buying the game from a real store or just send it through Steam is beyond me, but whatever.

I guess it was cheaper for him, anyway thanks for the info, it's a gift window, so he will try to contact the seller.

Since most of the sellers there are Russian, use Yandex Translate if language barriers come up. It is a somewhat better translator to and from Russian than Google's. If they are Chinese, well, good luck.

I know he bought a gift, but he wasn't sure what to do after the error (me either). Thank you for the clarification :)
