I signed up when they were offering endless Legend as the game of the month (October 2014). They were already claiming to have fixed it at that point. Signed up for a month, cancelled immediately and have continued to receive all benefits since.

They haven't offered any full games for a while now but if one pops up that's worth the cost of a months subscription it's worth trying.

Personally I signed up years ago and it still works for me. I have a friend who signed up last year and he says it still works for him so I guess it still works. He only signed up for the monthly and canceled right away. He was able to get keys for games from previous months that were still available and not out of stock.
