Except the fact to show a higher number of game owned, that can help you to upgrade you're number of games badge for free
For exemple, you have 40 Games, with that you can get up to 50 and get the badge with it ...

They still don't add +1 to your public game count..
You can also infinitely add non-steam games to your library but they won't add +1....

Here are a few ways other than ASF:

For "Paladins - Public Test" for instance, I am not sure if you can use the Steam store to add the game. Check if there is a button at https://store.steampowered.com/sub/157010/

+22, +1... what games to your library. Is that all?
What is ASF?
If they are merely adding games to your list of games in your library, why? Why do people care about that? Do you gain something or is it just more fake internet points?

+1 = 1 xp for this badge https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198129456462/badges/13 , games that are profile limited do not add +1 xp to your badge, +22 means 22 games are added so +22 xp . Adding +1 games to your librabry increases your badge level which increases your level which increases your drop chance for booster packs. https://steamcommunity.com/tradingcards/faq
