This post was made in memory of icaio and to honor his time as a cherished member of Steamgifts.
Please do not derail the topic with speculations regarding details of his passing. Be respectful towards him and those left behind. Anything that gets close to doxing his identity will not be tolerated and should be kept off Steamgifts.

Man, that's sad news. I don't get that involved in the community here (beyond the actual giveaways) but even I knew who he was.
RIP icaio.

I think I successfully hitched myself to the train,
icaio was on my whitelist, we chatted a little - will be missed

I know some lovely users have tried to fulfil icaio's final GA commitments, and a great big thanks for those people. Could we ask the Mods to delete the GAs that have been unable to be fulfilled and/or marked as unreceived, so as to not tarnish his account for things outside his control?

Rest in peace.
He always shed a positive light on the discussions. Also remember a lot of his polls

I was looking at the list of games developed in the link you attached.
Oddly enough, I found his comment from six years ago.

🧳Maybe a good trip?🎃
I recall a few of the games he said he liked, Icycle: On Thin Ice, Circa Infinity, Cranks and Goggles, and a few others that I recall hearing about, but my memory is always a little rusty.😅
Cranks and Goggles
I believe the last stage of the last car game was associated with this SG.🤔<CG
icaio said this about 5 years ago.🙄
no gifts for me, send them to Sg
I'm sure he's still the same man he's always been, and I'm sure he might be watching over this Steamgifts.🍵

I really hope CG implements a Hall of fame like some people wrote here.

I've never had the chance to talk with icaio, but from what I'd seen over the years is that he was an incredibly generous person and one of the most active and loved users here. Rest in peace.

Hey all. I am going to start by saying that I do not have any more information than what I am sharing in this post.
EDIT: as it turns out, I do have some more information
ANOTHER EDIT, just a quick update
As some of you know, icaio has not been on SG for a while, and he hasn't logged into his Steam profile either.
I posted on his Steam profile a few weeks ago, just a quick note saying I hoped he was okay.
Yesterday I received a friend request on Steam from someone I did not recognize. I didn't see any obvious red flags, so I accepted.
This new friend sent me a message today, saying that they were icaio's cousin, and they saw my post on his profile and wanted to let me know that icaio passed away on September 30.

I don't think it's a stretch to say that icaio was an absolute legend of Steamgifts. His generosity, sense of humor and thoughtfulness came through in every 'showerthinking' post and every 'trash' game giveaway and every time he helped to solve a derailment in the community train.
Before I visited Rome a few years ago, caio volunteered to give me his mobile number so I could ask him real-time questions while I was in Italy. And that's exactly what I did! So we didn't quite get a chance to actually meet in person, but it was fun to chat with him while we were in the same country.
Not much more to say right now. Just R.I.P. to icaio, he will always be a Steamgifts legend.
