I rarely go to the movies. Like, less than once a year. Kick-ass may very well have been the last one I went to go see, so I might go see #2 since work gave me some movie passes 6 months ago and I haven't used 'em yet. :D

Bro, if you liked the first one. It would be dumb to pass the second one.

I was gonna about Elysium today because i loved District 9. But its late already and im tired. What can you tell about it? Is it better than District 9 ?

It's really hard to say considering that they are two very different movies. I'd say I liked District 9 a bit more because it felt a lot more original and open to interpretation, and it had been done like no other movie had before. Elysium has a lot more of a traditional plot, but that's really the worst I can say about it when comparing it to District 9. I myself am probably a fan of both movies, even if District 9 is a bit better.

Exactly the same here, Elysium is a bit more "classic" in terms of codes used in recent big sci-fi movies but it's still very good. I definitely recommend it, as well as District 9 for those who haven't watched it yet.

Is RED 2 worth watching if I liked RED (1)? I can handle/like sequal not being as good as the first one (Kick-Ass 2), but it mustn't be horrible (so it ruins the first movie).

Nice. Local cinema is £5, Odeon cinema in Canterbury is something ridiculous along the lines of £9 a ticket now. There's another cinema that's £2.50 during the week and £3.50 at weekends but unfortunately that one's a bit of a car ride away.

I have seen like 6 films at the cinema this summer (did not watch much during school year and I was catching up with my old friends)

But I totally see the point of not going to the cinema these days since I just hosted a movie night every Saturday for the last 5 weeks. It felt much better especially if you have an adequate setup similar to a cinema (replace the huge ass screen with a 42" LCD and popcorn with pizza)

I wanted to go to the cinema to see The Purge but reviews were so bad that I rather decided to stay at home. And last movies I have been to are probably The Hangover 3, Evil Dead and some documentaries.

I feel the same way. But when I usually go it's with friends just because it's one of things you do and never question. Also Man of Steel was meh.

I went to see Elysium yesterday I found it quite good. I still prefer District 9 (from the same director, Neill Blomkamp)

I don't like movies, they're either too bad and not worth your time or money or they're too good to the point where you just want to watch more (and there might not be more, and sequels always take their sweet time). And to be clear, the only movies I watch more than once are classics. I'm talking Gladiator and Scarface; I can't stand any other type of movie more than once.

If I want (visual) entertainment, I'll watch TV Series, Let's Plays or just play a game.
