No, it`s not what you think!
A weapon is: information, knowledge and wisdom how to use it.

Read, ask questions, always doubt and compare facts then apply logic and common sense to deduct conclusions and discover maybe hidden facts.

I`m a newbie around and thought to give a shout, share with like-minded gaming community some real life stuff to open your eyes.

From the history lessons, the best two things to learn is that Some things will repeat in a spiral and people do not learn from it (making the same mistakes).

A remark from me is that in Universe there are no good or bad things, its the way we interpret the events by ourselves and impact on others. Whats good for one isn`t the same for another entity.
Also level of hypocrisy in modern times is exponentially growing, exceeding any previous marks and beats new records :)

Taking the choice at the right moment means a lot.
Every little helps and you can make a change too!

The key line is that someone was way too patient and waited for enough whilst being spat from all the sides just because they exist.
If that`s not funny, call it cold WAR.

I`m from a small country barely noticeable on the map and considered a +1 on the World list.
I bet you never heard of it, neither paid any attention - guess on you.
Beautiful land and mostly friendly people that can be manipulated and easily exploited by bad characters.

A country known in narrow circles, as very good for s3x tourism. Cheaply rented flats, good food and very beautiful girls above legal age - charging just twice the age rates. just a sarcastic tip. Ignoring this fact, you can also find a modest, shy and lovely lady of your heart for the rest of your life to create a family.

Over 20 years already passed since My country got its Independence.
Since I was a child, I clearly remember hard times and my parents, both working, sometimes struggling to pay the bills, provide food and commodities because of low income or no salary for several months.
Often, when I was eating porridge at breakfast or other meal - I was capriciously bored from the same over and over again and the only distracting option was looking in the cooking book at any nice pictures thinking about other tasty meals :(
Maybe all adults would dream of being again careless children and not having all the Sh^%& to worry about in adult life... I`d rather choose a second repeat with a bicycle and few toys I had then.
Thanks for everything to my parents, they will not read it, but you will think and remember alike gratitude for yours.

No matter what, love your parents because they gave you life and brought on this planet, in the first place to help them!
besides, loving your Family is unconditional!

A Sad observation is that our young generation is getting easily spoiled, does not listen to family, and is easily manipulated.
When a sponge is clean, all the dirt can easily stick and this generation shares beliefs (dusting others, or infecting) that are embedded like a seed deep in memory (by now, you should know an associative example: our body = hardware an respectively the brain is like a computer with a native firmware and running code).
Becoming unwillingly rebels for destructive purposes just to have fun and fight for so-called democratic "freedom" influenced by manipulative groups.
So-called orange revolutions, its when a legitimate government is taken down by a group of protestants disguised among a very-large mob of young blood thats impossible or dangerous to calm down (just imagine a swarm of thousands! naughty kids).

So this happened in my country back in April 6, 2009 - just 5 years after another successful revolution in Kiev, a neighboring country.
About 10,000 Young demonstrators gathered in the capital to protest against the results of a parliamentary election that the ruling Communist Party won.
Can you believe that a green, naive and political "empty" head can take any objective decision by themselves at such fragile age?
As the result both countries have external colonial leadership (foreign authorities), is it not hard to guess who`s sponsoring this and why?

Important to note, that the political party was sharing only the name "Communist" and had more social oriented views with democratic approach. It had good relationship like with west and east, but collaborating more towards east and completely ignoring attempts to sell out country to the West agents.

I`m telling you from my own experience that children were brainwashed from school, high school and universities before those events.
Some teachers were really believing in their views or way to well-remunerated to educate pupils to "support a greater new future" or get bad marks on refusal.
No joke, everyone had to discuss and was openly admitting accepting new pro-west ideology or was considered a bad sheep! (making it feel a community de-facto opinion)

So one of the political parties, and like any other thereafter was promising democracy, equality, and bringing an end to corruption for the greater good.
Yet in 2010 was nicked 1 billion Dollars from a grant given for the development, and no one was found and punished.
Only talks years later about knowing who and how, but no action against...
A Joke with tears, that was a reward for a successfully completed Quest xD

"Revolutions are prepared by geniuses, made by romantics, and crooks use its fruits" by Thomas Carlyle

Especially since then, ruling parties and government became the most corrupted of all times to the bones, lost all fear - acting like immortals. Each election promises the same objective and not doing any, yet the mob keeps electing them... or the results are already known, ahead of the finals ;) !?
Prime Minister Filat was the famous Businessman behind non-stop smuggling operations with convoys loaded with tonnes of tobacco into the Europe. The current leadership and president was his best pal, if that means anything for this story.

As matter of fact, corruption cannot fight against itself, even when they are paid to do so in my country anti-corruption department is under corruption control like all other systems.

All the democracy is limited in fixed rules, tolerable behavior, social acceptance and controlling freedom of speech.
Would it really matter is someone is saying the truth and the recipient already is programmed to deny it? whuh... :D
The more wealthy a person is, the more democracy can be afforded and bought. Whats that then? I tell you thats a Capitalistic dictatorship, you don`t have a choice by design and MUST play by the rules - rich are protected from the poor peasants.
There are different social layers and some live their lives out of touch, to care towards others. They can afford it all, why bother thinking about someone else?
How come that commonly shared taxes are about 50% of income then :)

Hate to drop it like this, but a lot of charities are pure scams run by shameless sc*m!
Sharing food and items is the way to go and no way (f.%$% weapons!)

Why do we Tolerate a country that keeps Xeroxing monies, constantly causing wars, revolutions to destabilize Global peace and supporting ridiculous minority moments that irreversibly damages culture and society?

Also noticed that UK Prime Minister is a manipulative liar, he`s concerned about his income, wealth and will do everything to keep his post (no wonder why he shouts so loud although UK had Brexit divorce from EU).
Does it sound a regular EU politician nowadays?
Fact and pity that 1 ridiculous character is allowed such activity by his parliament mean that a prosperous country is under a decline. No wonder they cannot protect their own borders from the invaders on dinghies.

Would you agree that EU political members are short-sighted individuals, scared of their own logical opinion that goes against those that would benefit their own society?

Fasten your seatbelt, our ride is going very fast down.

Thank you for reading any part of it, I hope you smiled more than once and will get to think about some concerning things.
Any suggestions, corrections, discussions, critics, sharing your opinion and views are Welcome!

Not all, some countries in Africa have managed to put good people in power fairly recently, there are historical tales of good rulers from, for example, Greece back in the day, and there are even a handful of former US Presidents you would have a lot of trouble finding fault with. Power is inherently corrupting though, it takes a hell of a person to wade through the swamp and come out clean.

Give them time and we will see if corruption/abuse of power will not happen.

Hi, thanks for your point, also is nice to mention that piracy in Africa decreased a lot in recent years.
Maybe some bad elements either got power or run other kind of business.

There are still internal conflicts and constant fights between tribes.

I would gladly give you my opinion if I had any idea what you're writing about here.
The only thing I can say is: no education is not a long con that brainwashes young people into an ideology or another.
The only ones who could get brainwashed by anything don't actually have a brain to start with.

Have a better day.

i wouldn't really say that. everyone has at least one vulnerability. if exploited at the right time by the right (or more likely wrong) person, bad things can happen. i've read stories of very well-educated people adopting some pretty wackadoo beliefs. people join cults or religions maybe if they're down on life and just looking to belong somewhere. maybe someone has a partner with what others would call extreme views and they join up because of their love for the person. even indoctrination at a young age can't really be faulted to the individual because they're young and impressionable. every single thing you believe dearly is because of events you experienced at the right time to make you believe in those things.

here's the part where i say i stopped reading the op about halfway through so i'm not entirely sure of what context you're using 'brainwash', so if i missed the mark, then my b. i still got some point out.

You're right when it comes to cults. Some cults, like $cientology, are well known to use "self help classes", random "happiness questionnaires" and other methods to ferret out vulnerable targets and proceed to brainwash them and take their money.

When it comes to education though, my point was that even though we start school at a young age, the idea that anyone who has been through high school has been brainwashed is simply one of those crackpot theories that don't make sense. Like if you go to school, liberal teachers are going to somehow indoctrinate you into their beliefs system or some such nonsense.

Hi Andrew, thank you for a honest reply.

I do not want to offend anyone, just a simple example is related to radical Muslim forces - they enroll either young or anyone with no income seeking purpose in their life (also huge % have no education - to think by themselves).

as result we can observe a clash between different cultures.

This will get me quite a few BL but I think human life is more important than BL.

So here I go after reading this wall of text.

If the party you speak about would be so great wouldn't they got more than 3,75% in democratic elections?

Also sorry but what you say sounds a little like western agents trying to destroy your country by educating people for 20 years about democracy?

Sorry but all you said looks just like many russian propaganda I read online in last 2 days. It is also similar to the russian propaganda we had in Poland after World War II.

Tomorrow I'm meeting 2 of my Ukrainian friends that are working in my country and were working with me in my last job before me getting a new job.

Today they will bring their families to Poland.
Tomorrow we meet I hope not for the last time. I hope Ukraine will win.
Monday my friends go to Kyiv to fight. I can only hope that I will see them again.
They go to fight for their country and because in the past someone had to stop Hitler and someone must stop Putin now.
Glory to Ukraine and let's hope they will win because if they don't this war can change into an nuclear conflict.

TLDR and don't care

Closed minds spew nonsense about brainwashing

there's more important things in the world going on instead of a pity post about how you believe you were brainwashed. ALSO i think its more advisable to stop comparing world leaders to what you have experienced in your home country. no world leader is perfect but they are human, with FREE WILL.

Almost everything you said can be applied to anywhere. Incompetence, corruption, etc- doesnt matter if its west, east etc, this exists everywhere in the world... and guess what: exploitation, manipulation, lies and corruption HAVE NO POLITICAL PARTY. No ideology. All it requires is humans lacking morals. They exist in all shades of skin, religions, regions of the world.

Propaganda is propaganda and most countries indulge in it- i think youre someone who drinks too much from propaganda, including the west.
Because you act/react as if the west was some 'lie'... as if you somehow believed in west propaganda, something westerners dont do. My guess you believed in west propaganda then found it was a lie- and is believing eastern propaganda as well, maybe just didnt realize its lying too.

US? Crooked, imperialist, manipulative. Higly capitalist meaning its exploitative, money comes before people, the richs interest above all.
Russia? Crooked, imperialist, manipulative. Nowadays is highly capitalist too, meaning its exploitative, money comes before people, the rich`s interest above all.
Yep

Once upon a time there was an actually big ideological difference between west and east, something called socialism (on the pursue of comunism, since no actual comunist country ever existed). But that changed. USRR ended, even China only pretends to be comunist/socialist nowadays.

The only differences are language, currency, and how the government works- the west tries(and often fails) to implement proper democracy while the east have been historically more autocratic- and neither of these things are inherently western or eastern.

End of the day, truth be told, no country is anyones friend. If a country have lots of value as an ally and so on the sure, they can have stronger ties. If a coutnry dont have much to offer no one will reaaaly help. West or East, they dont really care for you - and blaming either side is misplaced too. Both sides are equally guilty in the way they meddle and influence other countries - but saddly they only manage to do so (in non militaristic ways at least) because they find people in those countries willing to sell thenselves to their influence. People that were voted by their people.

I dont know the details on your country (Moldova, if i guessed correctly), but comparing to other countries in similar situation- no matter if they sided with the west or east theyre not going well either way- because guess what, neither of these sides really care for any of you, and corruption is bad no matter what ideology the corrupt politicians claim to follow.

Im Brazilian. My country is in terrible conditions- like its been for most of history. Our government swings between rightwing US-boot-lickers and leftist US-haters. I hate how the US runs things and meddle with my country and others...

...but theres the thing: im in no way under the delusion it would be really different if instead of the US we followed Russia or China... or no one, for that matter, because guess what- no matter the political party, righ or left, my country is rotten with corruption. Frankly, more then half of our politicians dont even care what ideology they appeal to, its a matter of filling their pockets.

You look delusioned, maybe youre young or naive- but i feel like you fell on the trap on believing in good and bad sides. The world isnt a cartoon, theres no heroes, and while there are villains (i mean, bad people everyone would agree being bad) most villains are someones hero. The world isnt black and white, its a sea of gray.

Since antiquity to modern days and the future- any single ideology or country claiming theyre heroes, the right ones or whatever bs propaganda are lying. Theres no such a thing. No country is going bad or well because they sided with this or that big brother.
For smaller countries with low income, military power, etc, etc siding with bigger countries is a matter of whose boot you want to lick.

And last but not least- even in isolation things would still be doing bad. Corruption is a problem worldwide and doesnt require western or eastern influence

TL;DR
Both sides are terrible. Anyone worshiping and believing in either sides propaganda is misguided. If you think things would be different had history went with the other side youre delusioned, and woulve be blaming a different side now.

Hi, Thank you

My country is in state of emergency, cannot be discarded option that it will be involved in this war!

Also you might google "transnistria war" a pro-Russian separatist region received a sort of agreement for independence, that`s de-facto ignored by the world and left in dim alone to be a part of MD, at least for now. (with their own passports and currency - not recognized anywhere in the world)

All media channels belong to someone, wealthy people, and in either way are considered propaganda - part of a high level agenda.

Ive mention that knowledge is power, consumers must use own brain to process the information given on a plate. I see that no one is looking behind the curtains whats happening on global scale, by the looks of it - something big is approaching like an avalanche what will cover everyone ...

Lots of people share that feeling. Just dont fall on the trap of conspiracy, thinking whatever is coming is some careful plan made by someone... the world is chaotic. West, east, governments, private sector, relgious sects- everyone wants things to go their way, everyone make their plans, but the march of history surprises everyone equally

Just now for example the international community/specialists (me included btw) tought that Putin would escalate intimidation tactics and take the east of ukraine, NOT jump so quickly to full on invasion... then ive seen a specialist reading the situation in a way that made total sense for me- where not even Putin 'planed' that; Like, from the way the invasion actually triggered and the sequence of events all points out to Putin indeed planing to not invade, invasion always a plan B... he was expecting some reactions and concessions from Nato and or Ukraine from his steps of escalation.
But after he recognized the separatists and moved troops there- one of the most outrageous acts of escalation (in the context of diplomacy)- Ukraine was still talking about joining Nato and Nato re-inforced they werent taking any allys or chances of they joining off the table... Then Putin invaded.
My point is- not even Putin was expecting that, he expected they would concede; Once they didnt, backing down was off the table for him so plan B went in instead

Specialists have called out on the capitalist status quo being unsustainable for decades now; Theres global warming (its real) that threatens our status quo; China rising is changing the political landscape, the rise of social media and its far fetching influence will definetly change things, and then add to that how to this day we could never stop economical crysis from happening (bubbles come and explode and we suffer)- and theres aparently 2-3 bubbles close to exploding...
its safe to assume some big changes or shake up is likely to occur in the future- sooner or later we cant tell...

We should try to avoid it, or at least brace for it...

Just dont fall on the trap of thinking that some group/actor/side is pulling the strings and shaping those big changes that are coming. No group is that powerful, that smart nor capable of predicting the future and other parties reactions precisely. All major players in the global landscape TRY to manipualte/guide that future their way- but no one can actually pull it off. It never goes according to plan. It didnt worked for the Nazis, it didnt work for the USRR, and it didnt work for the US either (otherwise the US wouldnt be challenged by China right now, nor weaker or unstable)

Were all collectivly tumbling and falling foward to whatever surprises will come next.

Hi Vincer,
<3 to read your posts!

After watching this excellent lecture, to understand global War-games, your post appears very logic and integrated with an experienced and mature analytical view-point :) :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JrMiSQAGOS4

Ive already posted are cent comment, although its impossible to predict or plan future, a set of triggered actions will trigger re-actions in specific directions. There are analytical departments that study closely all past and recent events to create predictions for each plan of actions.

I love wargames- btw were closer then ever to the conditions where a few(or a single) actor could shake the world like that. Wargames was written in the perspective of the coldwar/nukes and hacking... but nowadays theres no need to be a hacker- an individual in social media could cast/spread damage in unpredictable ways, and theres a lot of weak links in the mordern world that are fragile to disruption - for example stock market
btw that seens to be Putins mindset in his use of cyberwarfare and know misinformation as an weapon; The US used to be the masters of that in the past but Putin has been running wild with it

I like geopolitics because i like being aware/informed, but mostly because im fascinated by game theory (check it up, its not about games). That would tie to what you said of trigger actions/reactions, but i would say thats a bad way to put it, theres a trap there- the impression that 'if X is done/happen, Y will happen'- but the real world is far more complex, unpredictable... if we could plan like that the world wouldve been much different now, and economical bubbles and crashes wouldnt happen.
Game theory is all about optmizing choices and plans of actions taking into account actions/reactions of players - different markets, companies, countries, anything, applies to logistics, geopolitics, warfare... curious thing about it: it involves a lot of percentages. Theres almost no garantees ever. To complicate things further no 2 sides have all the information nor the same perception of things. A good example is the Prisoners Dillema, an hypothetical exercise where two actors could choose an action that would benefit both costing less for each, but since they cant know what the other actor will do they generally choose the worse option where both lose

What complicates plan and predictions is complexity and new events. You could try to plan taking into account Russia, Ukraine, Nato, then suddenly something happens via another country that you werent accounting for... If you try to take into account more neighboring nations then youd have to take into account their allies... in the end the whole world, market, everything would need to be taken into account- and still no proper predictions could be made.
For example no one could predict Covid; Scientists have predicted for decades that epidemics would cause more damage, spread faster and become more frequent increasingly because of population sizes and how globalized weve become but we cant predict when, where and how damaging the next one will be...

End of the day no matter how the 'game' of geopolitics is played Putin deciding to invade or extend the game of threats relied upon Putins decision. No matter how much a nation pushs another, the most likely outcomes, people and their decisions is what defines things and people can act unpredictably (wich btw is an tactic in itself
