I find myself curious, how do you folks decide which giveaways to enter?

Personally, I usually do a search for the games off my wishlist first. Then I look for a few (such as XCOM or BioShock Infinite) which I want to play, won't be able to afford anytime soon, yet for whatever reason I don't have on my wishlist. After that, I just go through the pages and enter giveaways for anything else that looks interesting. That's how I ended up winning McPixel, which is awesome. :3

So how about you folks?

I use SteamGifts Plus to narrow the choice down. Then I look for stuff on my wishlist and then I join the coolest ~10p <2000 entries giveaways.
Basically what you do.

Where can I setup a blacklist? I don't use this site often... does sit require an add-on for my browser?

I'm almost always at 300 points now, generally I've seen most games on Steam besides some of the older obscure casual games, and I have a fairly good memory on keeping track of what I'm interested and what I'm not interested in, generally I balance around a few things: subject matter (what the game is about), genre (I am less interested in FPS games, but on the other hand I love puzzle games for example), my reaction to the game's store page content (does it look fun? does it seem interesting? etc.) So what I'm trying to say is I enter what I think is interesting and fun for me

Travel ALL the pages !

If the name/pic of the game seems interesting, i check what it is on steam then i enter if it looks fun.

My wishlist is fairly representative of what I want to play when I get time to. There are a handful of other game that if an amazing opportunity presented itself, I would play through it. That is what I keep an eye for. Otherwise, let someone else who will enjoy the game more get it =).

i enter to win games that i'm at least somewhat interested in and have less than 1000 entries, unless I have a lot of points then it doesn't matter how many entries. And I look for games that have a CV value a close to where i am.

If I don't have it and it seems interesting I'll enter it, especially if I'm at 300 points. I try to wait until something I really like pops up but sometimes I enter for the heck of it, not like I'm gonna win. lol

I ask myself; Would I go to the trouble of pirating this if I really wanted to play it? If the answer is no, I don't enter.

I enter if it's a game I want to play but don't want to spend money on right now. As such I always have points in my account.

I enter the games I really want (poker night, castle crashers etc.), DLC for the games I already own and then search for other cool games I would like.

I look for non crappy games with less than 1k entries and I enter the giveaway only if I can run the game.

Go from the first, to the 10th or so page (depending on the number of decent giveaways in my opinion), enter in the ones that look good and I would actually plsy, and that aren't high-high in entries if possible. Take off ones with more, put ones on with less (same games).

Typically I go through at least 5pages before using up my points.

Since I used SG plus, I pretty much enter almost all giveaways that show up. Of course, a few pop up to add to the filter, but otherwise I just go down the page and enter what I see.

That mostly is games on my wishlist and other games that look interesting, but not quite sure if I will buy them unless they show up in a bundle.

I enter for the games I want that I don't already have, aka everything on my wishlist; My wishlist is rather short so it makes it pretty easy because I always have enough points left to enter.

i enter the first GA then the 2nd GA then the 3rd one about to close. I'm joking . This is what i really do: scan the first page for games i want , scan the second page for games i want , scan 3rd page for games i want , once i run out of points i know i wont miss out on any games i want that will end shortly.

Pretty much the same as you, except lately I only do the search part - and look for a few games I really want at that moment, as I have a huge backlog and I'd rather not add many games to it lol

And, of course, searching the forum for puzzles, cuz that's just fun :D
