Overall a pretty boring EC. I havent seen too many impressive matches. Just a couple really.
Maybe it was because my own country wasnt participating (because they fucked up bigtime).
And Portugal winning in the end by just winning 1 of their matches in 90 minutes illustrates it.
I wasnt able to watch the final (concert) and frankly it didnt even bother me. I have seen too many extremely boring matches last couple of weeks.
Congrats Portugal. But I would rather see them winning because they were the best not by being the luckiest.

Portugal Hungary and Belgium vs Wales were quite entertaining imo.

I do. Loved Iceland for it. But thats probably mostly because they were the underdogs.
I cant recall Portugal having a great defence, especially in the group stages it wasnt really solid.
They got the easy route after the group stages and I just expected more of them in those matches. The match vs Wales was well played though.
As a neutral viewer I cant say I was too thrilled about Portugal and this EC in general.

Italy didn't deserve to win back in 2006 either, but honestly? I prefer Portugal winning rather than France.

You said it yourself, "in football score counts not the way they play it."
Since they played by the rules I don't see why they don't deserve it.
As a detached viewer whose country wasn't participating, I agree that the "show" was poor and I didn't enjoy the majority of the games, but I don't have the right to say that they didn't deserve it. If I was a Portuguese I would be happy and celebrating about it in spite of everything :)

I agree with all of your points, it's all about technical defence, against any pleasant to the eye that "real football" as you said offers.
I am bored to the point that I want to close the TV, in such matches, but at the same time I just wanted to say that if a team plays by the rules then they deserve a win because they won fair and square, even without offering pleasant to watch football.

Since it´s very hot in my region, particular in my penthouse, and I wanna go out to have a BBQ with friends while watching the match, I keep it short.
