I've occasionally get dodgy ads from Steamgifts that open up random websites.
I can browse my other usual websites for months with no problem.
When I discuss it here, I'm told my computer is "infected".
Did not know infections only act up when I visit one specific website. Why would an infection hate Steamgifts so much?

Just today I got an Virus warning (virus blocked :) ) on one of the steamgift pages with ublock on. I didn't notice until today that last update on ublock turned itself back on and I still got the warning.
Ad site the virus came from was Spaider net/upload/OOO/u1/O/6/Ofc98137.png URL:Blacklist.
Definitionally seems to be script based attacks from ads being loaded.

Happens again now...

This is happening to me, but only on SteamGifts giveaway pages (when I'm in discussions section there is no redirect, and I'm not having issues on any other websites).
Done every scan under the sun and my PC is coming up clean.

I'd suggest reporting the site(s) you're being redirect to to their providers. They tend to have an abuse@ adres that can be reached.
You should be able to find the provider via the WHOIS-info, for this .xyz it would be here: https://nic.xyz/whois

for browsing dangerous sites I recommend a second web browser, and the use of sites like VirusTotal, Urlvoid, or any form of sandbox where to experiment and investigate safety; never use your main browser for something that you consider dangerous (or that could be).

I'm getting redirected to http:// eu.philosophizer242mb.xyz/DK_Altibox_11/index.html whenever i visit the front page of SG without adblocker...
I think SG has been compromised with some bad Javascript?
