I actually rarely ever contact any of them. A handful of them I actively talk to (around 10). About around 100 of these are group or Steamgift related. The rest of them are members from my Steam group that added me just for the heck of it and that I never bothered deleting, or traders, winners of my Steamgifts giveaways...
I really should "clean up" my friend list since I just get confused as of who I actually know.
So to answer your question...

you could create "groups" for your steam friends. like "trash-group", "idk who the hell that is-group" "change pics/names/personality-twice-a-week-group", some positive ones "important ppl-group" "share-nudes-group" etc etc !

I wish I could change my name to just Bongo :(. I wish there was a system where if the user hasn't been on for a certain period of time their name would change to a random set of letters/numbers so people can take that name, not just for SG but everywhere.

Everywhere?! I wouldn't be happy being awaken after 4 years in coma just to be Fd2dfdn5rewe Rrfsd7fsbp0m and have people pronouncing my surname even worse than the current one. (Unlike the English, my first language don't have the whole spelling culture and words no one knows how to pronounce, so it's a big deal and I'm oppressed!)

I meant strictly on the internet, but I'm Polish and have one of the longest surnames which contains nearly 50% of the English alphabet...funny thing is they can pronounce Czech perfectly but the cz in my name turns in "chew" somehow...

cz surnames unite! Mine is not Polish, but everyone think it is, so my problem is the exact opposite. :D It's okay, unless they try to argue with me, that I am pronouncing it wrong. Dear people, I know a thing or two about my own identiny, thank you very much.
