sigh
I've seen threads like this time and time again. Basically, you want to spend as little time on the site as possible, but still win games. That's not exactly a reasonable thing to do.
Not that you're interested, but there are two ways to contribute to this site: making giveaways, and being active in the forum. No one will ever ask you to do either, so I suggest you don't complain.

There are some pretty useful one's like removing all only "thank you" comments and the one that adds the enter button to the mainpage next to every giveaway.
... and I also got an explanation now for all these weird "Thanks for Skyrim" comments :D :D :D

"then you've actually invested a LOT of time for that free game." Are you really bitching about entering for free games?
It doesn't take long to enter a giveaway at all. Like 3 seconds. That's fucking it.

I dedicated 3 seconds to entering a giveaway and got nothing back. Nothing! Steamgifts should pay me the minimum wage for my 3 seconds of work!

"Steamgifts is awesome. However, it has a growth problem: the more people join, the longer it takes to win something (and please check my math on this!"
Your math is wrong.
1) While you start out with only a few points, you will eventually get more points than you can possibly spend. In fact, it is not that difficult to enter every single giveaway available to you (i.e. for games you are qualified to win).
2) Not every person on the site will enter a particular giveaway. Some end with less than 25 entries, others have over 9000(?!?).
3) There is no "minimum required number of entries" to win a game. Some people have entered over 3000 giveaways without winning anything.
4) The current system forces the user to think about what he or she is doing when entering a giveaway. Despite all the checks and double-checks, people still enter giveaways for which they are not qualified. Automating the entry process will just make this worse.
5) Entering a giveaway is a voluntary act for which there may be a reward. It is up to each person to decide whether the potential benefit is worth his or her time and effort. If you feel it is "too much work," you may choose not to participate.

Steamgifts is awesome. However, it has a growth problem: the more people join, the longer it takes to win something (and please check my math on this!)
In terms of spending points, it balances out - more giveaways to enter, more giveaways created taht generate points.
However, any given giveaway will now have more people entered, meaning to win, I need to enter more giveaways.
The problem is: entering a giveaway involves loading two pages (and then going back). It takes time. This isn't a problem when the site's numbers are low, but when you need to enter 500 giveaways to win (on average, depending on number of entrants, etc.) then you've actually invested a LOT of time for that free game.
It seems like the ideal solution is the ability to enter multiple giveaways simultaneously (presumably via a checkbox system, but I'm no web designer). You would still pay the point cost for each one, so people wouldn't just checkbox/enter everything, but it would at least make it faster to enter the giveaways you want, assuming multiple appeared on a page.
