Same happens for me. I got a guest pass for Red orchastra 2 and it doesnt let me enter RO2 give aways, even though my guest was expired like a month ago...

Edit: I've contacted support ages ago, and still no comments...

It's an age old problem. Valve changed how guest passes and free weekends work so you know "own" the games. We're working on a fix, but it's low priority.
