I've realised about existence of this dlc by "Incoming" games on steam only yesterday. And well. I think that NecroDancer is good enough game to get support via slighlty overpriced dlc even though i'll wait for some discount on it :f

I've read the DLC's description as well, and it's really impressive, considering how other companies give skins for 3-5-7€, white this already involves new level, enemies, character, and they promise even more with time. And they even confirm that the price won't change after leaving EA :)

Already saw your giveaway and already entered it. Since you played it you may answer a question or two I couldn't find out by reading description and reviews:
Has the game be enlarged by a zone so that the all zone run will be longer now (as some named it zone 5) or is it a replacement of one of the four previous zones or is it completely seperated like it is only one zone in total?

Hm, thanks for the answer. Am just a bit irritated since there is an All Zone Achievement for Nocturna. So it is either given away after that single zone or the game will change slightly for playing with her. Well, I will see one day as I will surely buy the DLC at one point. Unless the other new characters are even more nerve wrecking than the Monk O.o

I played both Aria and Bolt. There would no "by the time I beat Coda". I'm pretty sure about that. Even if I had that skill level, I'm doubting I ever would have the patience needed to reach it. But yea, the DLC has a good price. Hm, it is early access so there is a chance it will rise in price later.

Hm, did it read like complaining? That was not the intention then. While I am an achievement hunter I can accept the occasional game where I lack the skill to complete it and I had a lot of fun with the game anyways so it is all okay (I have some more of them like VVVVVV or Teleglitch).
If the price does not rise I have time to wait for the moment. Thanks for that information.

That IS interesting. So the DLC makes a single game session a bit longer. Shouldn't be more difficult since you have either good equipment til zone 3 or you die there. Maybe it is just for some classes. It wouldn't make sense to add zone 5 for Cadence after she has beaten the Necrodancer O.o

You are definitely able to get better at it, it just takes a lot of practice. The game has a steep learning curve, that's for sure. But once you learn the patterns of enemies and get comfortable with the rhythm then it's actually not as hard as it seems. You're a Platinum God for a reason. ;)

Nice overview, but it left me with one big question - what do you think about the new soundtrack? How does it compare to songs from the base game?
