A never ending cold? May be you're developing allergies, especially if its rhinosinusitis. Try an antihistamine

The cold is finally gone but I do take antihistamine for seasonal allergies as well as allergies to cats.

If it was mostly upper respiratory symptoms, could still be allergies or airway reactivity to the dry winter air. An antihistamine can "wear out" after a while. Either way, a nasal spray corticosteroid works really well... sorry to keep making medication recommendations

If it was a systemic steroid, absolutely. However, there is no evidence to suggest that topically applied steroids, such as sprays, aerosols, and creams, have any significant effect on humoral or cellular immunity.

There's evidence, there's just not significant enough formal evidence for any measure of scientific consensus. Regardless, the validity of such a stance is irrelevant, given that what I was proposing was "get some degree of confidence in the diagnosis before turning to medication", not "random steroids bad". Though, I was also drawing from extensive personal experience, which did in fact indicate some merit to the latter angle, as far as it applied to the circumstance in question.
Nasal sprays are of special consideration in not wanting to use without good cause, given how many negative elements are tied to their usage- again, elements I've personal (albeit in this case indirect) experience indicating as being legitimate concerns.

sufferend from a never-ending cold
Hate when that happens. Especially when the weather does not cooperate with you and goes from warm to freezing within a day, getting you sick all over again :/.
Well congrats on the milestones and very early Happy Birthday! :D

I hope you get to feeling better soon and hope you have a very happy 43rd :D

Happy belated Cake Day and congratulations on surpassing 7000 games!:)
However, those milestones aren't important in the grand scheme of things...your health is! I'm glad to hear that you are starting to feel better now, and I hope you'll be free of that nasty cold as soon as possible!:)

The cold itself is gone now and my mood has been improving as of late so I'd say I'm on the right path.

Awesome to hear! That means you're going to have an awesome 43rd birthday. 43 is a very good age to be. Why? Because that is how old I am, that's why!;) :)

The healthy sleep is probably the biggest challenge for me. For some reason, there seem to be a time distortion that brings me from 11pm to 2 am in less than 5 minutes.
I mean, it can't be because I lose track of time and don't realize that 3 hours have passed since I said "Oh it's late, I should go to bed... let me just finish this, it won't take more than 5 minutes". Right?

Happy belated cakeday, 7k games sounds ludicrously insane ;D. Got that allergy problem too, one of the good things winter brings seems to be gone with the arrival of spring, so I'm also back on antihistamines... eh, always something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Oh, and about that treadmill thing - just start, you don't have to move mountains on the first day, but try to work it into your day and let it become a routine. Sooner than you think you'll find yourself running on the regular, at least works for me when I find myself in that spot.

Hello people of Steamgifts.
I've been feeling a bit down lately. I've been tired, sufferend from a never-ending cold that that kept coming back everytime it seemed like it was ending (from mid december through the end of february), and feeling a little bit blasé about things in general. Some of you may have noticed that I was a lot less present in the forums as of late. (Most days I simply checked the deals section and be done with it.)
Fortunately, it's getting better. The cold is finally gone, I'm starting to work again on personal projects, going to work feels less like a chore and I'm starting to entertain the idea of getting back on the threadmill. (Which, honestly, would help a lot in getting my energy levels up. Classic case of chicken and egg... feeling to tired to consider doing the one thing that would utlimately help me feel better.)
So, in the last few weeks, I kinda saw a couple of milestones come and go and didn't really act on them.
On february 27th, it was my 5 years cake day on Steamgifts. I was originallly planning on doing some kind of event for it but completely forgot and only realized that the fated day had come because of a few people wishing me a happy cake day. I thought about doing something but I had nothing ready, so I said I'd do something on the weekend. I didn't.
Then, some time at the beginning of last week, I noticed that I had crossed the 7k games threshold in my Steam library. I usually make some celebratory thread for those, but it was late, I was tired and once again I had nothing prepared. So I figured once again that I'd do something on the weekend when I would have more time. Well, this is the weekend in question and this time I managed to write this thread.
I grabbed a few games for you and made some giveaways, because I know you all like those. They all end on April 3rd, which also happen to be my 43rd birthday. I hope you find some enjoyment in them.
tl;dr - been feeling blah, missed some milestones, giveaways
