Developer revoken keys for https://store.steampowered.com/app/652230/CrazyCar/ and its DLC. Probably many owns it as it was part of a lot of bundle previously

I guess his/her/its/whatever other game is also not safe, but i not owned that.

With the revoke game price was also increased from 2-3€ to 50€.

Check your SG wins as it might lead you to an unactivated gift.

Valve really need to be pushed to not let developers deactivate keys which was activated years ago as impossible to get support for such purchases.
Some extremly rich guy who doing the national american sport for fun (sueing others and going to court) get Valve to court with this please :-D

p.s: dont forget to post a negative review before accepting the popup window on steam, which can only be accepted, not disputed, which also might be against EU law?

UPDATE, REPORT THE GAME ON ITS STEAM STORE PAGE:
suggestion source:
https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/Dgscb/a-list-of-games-whose-unredeemed-keys-were-revoked/search?page=22#paUgCOo

All the unused keys were revoked 3 months ago: https://www.steamgifts.com/go/comment/ARCFRoT

it's not only DIG btw, also Lequeshop and GoGo bundle is affected.

The dev also raised the price of the game and the DLC to absurd prices.

To submit complaints, click the "Flag" button to report Fraud on the right side of the store page. I have written a complaint that fits within the character restrictions, you can use this if you want to:

The developer revoked all unredeemed keys for their games 3 months ago, including those from legitimate stores and bundles. They raised all their prices, even DLCs, to around €50. Now they’ve also revoked redeemed keys with no explanation. They’re deleting all related threads on Steam Community Hubs. Please verify via admin/mod logs. No contact info is available. Please ban this developer or, preferably, restore all revoked keys.

I have given this game out more than 7 years ago: https://www.steamgifts.com/giveaway/hDbs5/fantasyland

One of the people that got the game left me a comment. I am not sure what to do in this instance :|

You should ask the mods to delete the giveaway. None of them can claim ignorance for the reason behind it.

If you comment too much, you get banned and Steam takes action against your account, too. I got a community ban for posting, that the dev deletes threads and to leave a fitting review befor accepting the removal of the game.

How much is too much? I commented on a review and posted basically this text while reporting the game for fraud

I posted a thread in the forum,, which got deleted, and I posted it again. 4 or 5 times, then I got banned from the game hub. After that, I goit banned from two other game hibs from his games - without having posted anything there. Shortly after that, Steam gave me a one day community ban because I was banned from too many game hubs.

Posting in steam forums is dangerous. You can get community ban if 3 developers ban you on their game discussions for any reason and steam support won't remove the ban. Better to post review and report fraud apps

You should go through support to request changing the giveaway status to Not Received. Otherwise you're risking a suspension.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

No it doesn't work that way if the game got removed you don't get a suspension here because some the developer decides to pull the game from everyone game list and why should I do that to some user when it wasn't even his fault.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

It is how it works; you are required to keep the status up to date as per the guidelines. Alternatively, you can tell the poster that you agree to delete the giveaway if marking Not Received is a problem. There is no hard penalty to a "Not Received" status. FYI.

Comment has been collapsed.

YES you WILL get suspended IF a developer revokes a key / game from your account that you won here. You MUST go through support to get the status changed to "not received" or post in the giveaway thread and get the giveaway creator to delete the giveaway IMMEDIATELY! Your account can get suspended the second the key gets revoked!

So Exactly how is the key gonna get revoked when I've already used the key and it add it to my steam account some 7 years ago the game called the first of god and the DLC from two different gifter people
Yes I contacted support on this

keys get revoked from accounts all the time after they have been activated. I had one revoked the other day that I activated from a giveaway NINE years ago. Had to contact support because that giveaway creator is no longer even on steamgifts to get the status changed to not received before I got a suspension.

This is literally the first one as most of the others ended up getting back on my account Within a few days but I was not aware of this I really think CG Should implement some new changes and provide some options for support to automatically just flag the giveaway and not forcing users to have to deal with all this I'm a little worried that other developers are gonna start pulling the same BS that this one did.

You can only do it to developers that have a separate page when clicked, not just steam listing their games.
For example 11 bit studios. Here, there's an Options tab with a gear icon under the search bar where you can choose to "ignore this creator".

It's silly to revoke keys after six years.

where are these stats from? I assume it's not an official source (valve)? If not, then they are probably estimates based on store prices, while realistically the games went for a couple cents at DIG.

No problem. :) It wasn't meant as an offense.
But I think, you shouldn't underestimate the revenue, even if it's priced very low. I don't know how much copies are sold via DIG and other bundle pages, but if there are many buyers...

And even if the revenue is half of the stated amount, it is a good amount of money - especially for this kind of games.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Sure, the best way to make a million bucks is to make one buck one million times. ;-)
Still, even if the numbers are based on the official store HL, the for example for The first thrust of God - All Aircrafts it was 39c, while at DIG it was available for 1c, same thing for other DLCs. The games were probasbly a bit more, 5-10c. So the revenue is anywhere from 5 to 20% of the estimates (still good money).

Apillo, SUNYU Software, and Rolling Ball are the same individual.
You can verify by checking the groups of user imsunyu.
They revoked all licenses for all games, starting with Rolling Ball: HD Remaster, which was bundled yesterday for the first time.
It was done on purpose, to take revenge against DIG for some unclear reason.
They delete all threads of people complaining on their discussion board.
They even BANNED me from their too discussion boards, since I wrote again, which triggrered a community ban for my account, which has made me fuming against both that developer and Steam.
Steam won't do anything unless a lot of users mass-report the dev for fraud. Complaining on several forums without actually doing anything will bear no fruit.

50 eur for this shovelware crap? Its neither a game nor art and whoever made it and put it on the store should have their fingers broken.

While steam should definitely control the deactivation of old keys, they should never allow this crap to even be on the store, yet alone having 50 eur price point. The steam store is slowly turning into melting pot of shovelware and porn. It should be controlled way more strictly.

I just wonder what is the point with increasing the price? Is it money laundering? Are they gaining something from this? I refuse to believe there are people stupid enough to actually buy something like this for 50 eur.

It is. But are you willing to sue for that measly amount with no guarantee you will not have to pay anything, like, for example, some attorney fees when it comes to a settlement?
No, you are not willing. Neither are other gamers. What we need is a gamer who is affected, is a lawyer himself and has deep enough pockets to go through with it. Just to set an example for the future.

This comes of course with impossible odds for a single consumer but the European Consumer Protection Agency could be interested to sue. From their past history it's safe to say they aren't too happy about Valve's/Steam's business practices.

Other games of this dev got revoked in the case of a lot of people too.
He ban people that write in the discussions about revoked keys after up to 8 years.

It is crazy to me that Valve allows developers to revoke activated keys after the fact, no matter how long it has been since. It is certainly a violation of European citizens. It only takes a lawsuit for them to change the law, like they did with the Australian case for refunds!

I do not care for these games, but I care deeply about people's rights. I've reported all the games in the list. Will keep an eye for new ones, and report them as well.

I had Fantasy Land removed. It's trash slop that should've never been on the steam store. However they should've solved their differences with whoever they gave keys to.

If this would've happened within a few months of dev giving the keys and not getting paid for it I'd understand maybe and then you could go back to support for wherever you got it from and ask for a refund.

We don't know if that's been the case and I was gifted this game 7 years ago. It took this moron 7 years to realize he didn't get paid for it? Hard to believe imo, I think he just forgot his meds and went full retard.

We have news from Mellow from the group Sentinels of the Store:

Hi everyone,

Thanks very much to everyone who’s posted reports regarding the key revocations that have been happening over the past 24 hours.

We’re actively looking into the matter and will be reaching out to the development teams tomorrow through every available channel. If this goes unanswered, we’ll be escalating the issue to Valve directly and publishing an article to help amplify the story and raise awareness of what’s happening.

In the meantime, please continue sharing what you find - even short posts confirming that the same thing has happened to you are incredibly helpful. The more information we can gather, the better picture we’ll have of the scale of the issue and whether these cases are linked or coordinated.

Huge thanks as well to those who’ve already messaged or emailed us today. We’ve already started mapping connections between the affected games and developers to see how they relate.

We’ll keep everyone updated as soon as we have more to share.
Please keep the reports coming and keep shouting about this.
