I'd suggest putting a random question (that users would likely have to google or be cultured) instead of unobfuscated letters and digits because some of those keys were gone the second you posted them, and I mean it literally. Since all your posts follow the same format, it's really simple to match them with a single regular expression, replace the letters/digits, then post it to steam's registerkey page to automatically claim it.

I saw posts like these, with random questions as hints to get the key.
Keys are still grabed without a thanks. I don't think this is necessarily a problem with bots at all. The forum is public, and anyone on the internet that is looking for free games can get them here.
I know this is a thing cause I saw forums and groups that were making lists of place where free keys were dropped when I was a teen (So I believe it still exists).
Sadly there is no solution for this, you can't educate people to be thankful, or just polite.
The no keys thread provide at least some filter, and people actually thank you here. I don't bother dropping here anymore.

Hello, I'm cleaning out my collection of keys and I wish I could tell if they all can still be activated, but I can't. At least I've marked them as "to give away".
