So a couple days ago I won a giveaway for Chicken Shoot Gold. The creator emailed me basically saying "you won chicken shoot congratulations here is the key" so I entered the key and it was for Chicken Shoot 2. I admit I didn't read the giveaway's description, where it said the key was just for Chicken Shoot 2. Now, do I mark this as received? I put in a support ticket but I haven't received a response and I'm not sure how long it will take to do so. I don't want to get this guy in trouble but I also don't want my account here banned for not activating a game that I claimed to have received. What should I do?

If it isn't the game you were meant to get, contact the gifter and inform them. If they can't or won't give you the correct game, you wait the week then mark as Not Received.

I did email the gifter last night but haven't heard a response yet. I redeemed the key not knowing it wasn't for the right game, so I feel a little bad.

While it sucks, you aren't to blame. If you marked it as Received, you would get in trouble for not having the game this site says you won.

Thank you, I feel like there are at least 3 FAQs for this site and I managed to miss this one.

It is on the Beta version of SteamGifts.com, currently in Open Beta for the next like 28 hours.

You can see it here.

Its like the terms and conditions.

Just place the full works of Mein Kamp in there and offer a game to the first person who notices, should only take a few years.

(I stole this joke from elsewhere)

I bought that bundle. The description of the game isn't clear. He told you what game the bundle said it would give. The name of the game on steam isn't the same. So far as I can tell, the games are pretty much the same.

Yeah I checked, apparently Gold is 1 and 2, I only have 2, so I have half of what he was giving away. You can't even buy 1 or 2 separately anymore.

Well, lemme ask this... Is the game you got even on the gift list?
If not that's SteamGifts fault.
Though, if that's the case I suppose the gifter should have contacted support about trying to get it on the list first...
But on the other hand, if it's on Steam, or has been on Steam, it already should have been on the list.
