Yeah that's a fairly poor one now.

Here's hoping the next Humble Bundle is a good one!

Why do they copy Humble Bundle but do worse? -_-

That's just their way of doing things, just like with GalaGiveaways.

Because nobody ever copies anything these days eh, still a shit bundle though.

Nail on the head with that quote. Problem is. They only drag them down. Always rehashed games and much like their ideas, the bundles/sales are filled with games that are just as over-used.

That's not true. The Indie Gala has the best lineup of all the indie bundles. Flatout, Disciples II, Altitude, Making History, Beat Hazard, Space Empires IV, the Commandos series, Death to Spies and Moment of Truth, King's Bounty: The Legend and Armored Princess, UFO: Afterlight, Space Rangers, Star Wolves 1 and 3, Ghost Master, the Broken Sword series, the various Worms games, Smooth Operators, Praetorians, Majesty 2, East India Company, Europa Universalis Rome, Knights of Honor, Elven Legacy, Hearts of Iron 2 and 3, The King's Crusade, Commander: CotA, Bus Driver, Traffic Manager, Euro Truck Simulator, Bridge Constructor, Men of War, Men of War: Red Tide, Fantasy Wars, Cities in Motion, Magicka, Victoria II, Demigod, Galactic Civilizations I, the entire King Arthur series, A Game of Dwarves, Warlock: Master of the Arcane, Europa Universalis III. All those were, if I'm not mistaken, never in a bundle before they were featured in a Gala. The other bundle sites seem rather pathetic next to that list.

there have been some really good humble bundles..

World of Goo, Aquaria, Gish, Penumbra: Overture, Lugaru HD, Samorost 2, Braid, Cortex Command, Machinarium , Osmos, Revenge of the Titans, Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV, Hammerfight, And Yet It Moves, Steel Storm, Atom Zombie smasher, Jamestown, Bit.Trip Runner, Super Meat Boy, Shank, NightSky, Cave Story+, Gratuitous Space Battles, Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Limbo, Psychonauts, Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP, Bastion, and Lone Survivor.

Thats only counting the first 5 bundles, I would argue that the Humble Bundle did so well in its first 5 bundles that its difficult for anyone to compare... even current humble bundles cannot live up to their first few. They released so many great games and were successful enough that it opened the way for their future competitors.

Humble Bundle 5 did the best if I'm not mistaken.

THQ did a little better I think, but both of them were around 5 million dollars.

Okay. That is because it was triple A games, I have no idea how that partnership happened but it was impressive. I also really liked the humble music bundle and the humble book bundle, but it didn't look like anyone else liked those bundles.

I double checked and Humble 5 did 5.10m where THQ did 5.09m so the indie bundle actually beat the AAA games. The book bundle did 1.2m so thats actually not bad at all, music didnt do so well...

My taste in games differs greatly from yours. The only games you listed that I'd say match the level of the ones I listed are Osmos, Atom Zombie Smasher and Gratuitous Space Battles. 3-4 others that I haven't played yet may also qualify.

It's a good idea. Good ideas get copied. It's not like every game since pong was 100% original. Just wait for a good week. And really, out of all the HB weekly, I really only liked HB THQ weekly.
