My PTSD has been hitting really hard again as of late and I'm also super broke right now, but still wanted to keep giving at least a little something to the steamgifts community, so there you go. I hope you'll forgive that these are all incredibly cheap gifts (these probably shouldn't actually count towards CV, if I'm being honest).

I was meant to make a train, but I can't seem to focus properly anymore and I'm afraid I'd make mistakes, so you just get all the links right here.
A big thank you to the community for always being here; I don't really write much, but I have fun just browsing the discussions when I feel poorly.

Nothing to forgive here.

(these probably shouldn't actually count towards CV, if I'm being honest)
Yes they should; generosity should always be rewarded.

personally I've found that self help groups have been a big help with my own PTSD, although it took a lot of one to one counselling before I felt ready to try groups. although at times it can be crippling and overpowering it's important to remember that PTSD means you survived trauma and have been surviving the after effects ever since which takes a lot of strength. the fact that you've managed so far (even if it may sometimes feel like you barely have) is an achievement to remind yourself of
hopefully you can find some help with it as well, even in areas where there aren't free health services there are sometimes voluntary organisations and/or support groups which don't have a fee. there are also some online services, personally I found havoca.org quite helpful when my isolation was worst and I could barely ever go outside

Sadly my country sucks; there are no self help groups anywhere close to where I live-- I actually tried to get a group going myself, but not only could I not get any support (a place for it to take place, etc) as no one seemed interested in joining anyway. I sent emails to the local council and left pamphlets in all the major stores and companies here, but never got a call or an email, so... I guess maybe there's just no one else with PTSD around here.
Anyway, thank you for reminding me that yeah, I'm still around despite everything. Havoca.org seems very good, but it doesn't fit my PTSD problem, alas. Thank you for sharing, though. And all the best to you, stay strong :)

I understand that you're not religious (and that is perfectly fine!), but have you considered a 12-step approach? 12-Step programs isn't just for alcohol or drug addicts... It's free and you could start your own local group, or try going the online social networking route (like myRecovery), if you are so inclined. Just a thought.

Here are some resources to learn more...

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'd rather not get god (or any other kind of deity for that matter) in the mix regarding my recovery. Those 12 step programs lost me as soon as they go on about believing in a higher power. By the way, I don't mean no disrespect by that; my best friend is actually catholic, but we've learnt to acknowledge each other's views of the world and to each their own, so long as we respect each other as human beings.

That said, I'd like to thank you for all the time you spent looking those up for me. I never forget good deeds and good people, regardless of their religion, colour, sexual preference, etc. The last one looks like it may actually prove very useful, even if I'm not the biggest fan of sharing stuff that's too personal online. So again, thank you so much :)

You are perfectly fine... Like I said, due to your current isolation and limited financial state, I was merely suggesting some alternative ideas and resources that might help. :)
