...Just kidding. I love you all too much to leave. As the new year rolls in, let's all rise up from the ashes of 2020, and make 2021 an awesome one!

Oh and since I got your attention, here's a little gib train I cooked up.

.
On a serious note, 2020 has not been kind to many of us, and a new year won't make all of humanity's problems magically go away. In fact, the least unfortunate of us experience hardships long before 2020, and probably will into the future, which is why I believe we all could do a little something to help out by donating to charities. Here's a few to start out:
.

Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders

MSF operates in over 65 countries around the world. As medical first responders, our teams of over 42,000 doctors, nurses, and logisticians are often the first on the scene—sometimes arriving in a matter of minutes to respond to the needs of people whose lives have been upended by emergency and crisis.
.
MSF offers assistance to people based solely on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender, or political affiliation. We give priority to those in the most serious and immediate danger. Wherever we go, we make sure that people in the communities where we’re working understand that MSF’s commitment to independence, impartiality, and neutrality means that we will provide assistance to anyone who needs it.

.

International Rescue Committee

The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover and gain control of their future. In more than 40 countries and over 20 U.S. cities, our dedicated teams provide clean water, shelter, health care, education and empowerment support to refugees and displaced people.

.

SynGAP Research Fund

SynGAP Research Fund (SRF) is a global group of families committed to accelerating the science to cure SynGAP & to supporting each other. Our mission is to support the research and development of treatments, therapies and support systems for SynGAP1 patients worldwide.

.
SynGAP1 Syndrome is a rare genetic disorder which impairs neurological functions. I first learnt it when UFD Tech's, one of my favourite tech youtubers, toddler son was diagnosed with the condition, forcing his family to move to USA from South Africa.
(Highly recommend his second Hot News channel if you want a quick 10-minute rundowns of latest tech news)
.

Child Find of America

Child Find of America, Inc. is a national non-profit organization that provides outstanding professional services to prevent and resolve child abduction and the family conflicts that can lead to abduction and abuse.
.
Our case managers answer calls for help from searching and/or abducting parents, parents in conflict, family members, law enforcement, child welfare and other allied agencies, at-risk youth and educators. With an active caseload of more than 6,000 cases, on any given day our case managers are serving dozens of families in crisis.
.
Each year, Child Find positively impacts the lives of thousands of children and directly assists several hundreds more in complex issues involving locating, returning or remaining in safe environments.

Fair warning, SG staff can be over zealous in closing threads asking for donations (even from verified organizations). See: original Puerto Rico relief thread.

There's no asking for payments here, unlike with that thread, so I think it'll be safe.
EDIT: Eh, I suppose it could be interpreted as asking people to donate to something, but it's not as direct as that one.

To be fair, the guidelines have been changed since then:

Third party giveaways that require or reward users for performing profitable actions. For example, linking to a giveaway on another service that requires or incentivizes users to click a referral link, like a Facebook page, follow a Twitter account, join a Steam group, complete a survey, sign-up for a newsletter, or make a donation.

In other words, giveaway links only that are given out after a payment is made are not allowed

Doctors without borders is what my Humble donations are default set to at the very least :) For people who haven't yet, you can manually change what charity you want to contribute to, sometimes it may be a fixed charity bundle by Humble but othertimes it'll default to the one you chose, so choose something you'd like!
