probably not? not sure how that rule works, I don't run group giveaways so I never really paid attention to it, you should check the wording. If the group has a language rule the guy joined in violation of it may end up counting as a private rule so maybe you could anyway? I can't remember if group giveaways need to run their rules by mods before hand. but I think so, so that may not actually help you this time.

I'm in a group where if someone has violated a rule, support here will definitely re-roll the giveaway even if they were a member when they won. They don't automatically get the game just because they were in the group. If the group has rules stating who is eligible to win and this person violated one of the those rules it can absolutely be rerolled.

yeah, but I think you're usually supposed to get the rules rubberstamped by support first if you expect them to do anything about it?
(but last time that was mentioned it sounds like that may have been added to prevent them getting flooded with too many requests to handle, and implied that maybe if you caught a friendly one without much to do)

(except the optional one about not entering packs if you own part already and that one need not be declared beforehand)

(unrelated but is steamgifts being all weird and laggy for anybody else right now? I keep getting this takes forever to load and then becomes a half loaded offwhite/yellow page every so often and the rest of the time working fine.)

Wrong. We don't have the time or manpower to be enforcing every giveaway group's rules in addition to our work around the site. It's their job to police their members by kicking them. We don't approve group rules and we don't approve re-rolls for group giveaways on the grounds they were removed from the group unless it occurred before the giveaway ends, as it could be abused otherwise, and we certainly don't approve re-rolls on the grounds that someone violated a group's rules.

No matter the group rules, SG rules are always superior. I refer you to Wbarton's comment just a few comments back:
