I guess it's worse if you have aliens and drugs. Who knows what effect that might have on our younger generation who aren't even supposed to be playing the game in the first place. There must be a fuck load of irresponsible parents in Australia.

I am 24 and want to play this, all of my friends want to play this, they are also 20+, not sure what you mean...this can be said about any M rated game really, I played M rated games as a kid and am a pretty well adjusted adult now.
Played Doom/Unreal/etc.. when I was young, I never went on a rampage or a killing spree :-D.

The ESRB ratings have no significance to people's development as a person if they play the games when they are young. The ESRB ratings are there so that games can be focused on a demographic and content can in Mature/Adult games be made to fit Mature/Adult themes. The army of young teens that this game is focused on with its d00bstep gunz and its nekkid pepl and randumb XDD giant dildo slapping people maymay humour makes it a game directed towards young teens but is rated mature. Until the game is brought down to a Teen rating by the developers it shouldn't be played by teens, if it's Mature/Adult it will still be played by teens and the Australian government knows this.
Edit: This being said, you and your friends should be allowed to enjoy it, but allowing you to has side-effects that allow young teens to do so.

See this is my issue, there is no way people can control this sort of thing without it getting out of hand and well punishing those 20 year olds. You might as well make alcohol/ciggerettes/etc... illegal in the place also, since kids can easily get them also.
Its pointless.
Also most dubstep fans I have seen are above 18 sadly(awful music imo).

If you think SR is over the top, just visit Australia. Between drop bears and people swinging from vines while fighting armies of 10 foot spiders every evening as they struggle to keep the barbies lit at night you'd think an 'over the top' game would be nothing. It's crazy. ^^
