Is Stronghold Crusader 2 any good?

It's a pretty good game if you are into city building and resource management.

I played all Stronghold games religiously and I worshipped Stronghold 1 and Stronghold Crusader 1. Stronghold Crusader 2 is not fantastic like the first game; however, it's much better than Legends in my opinion. The part I dislike the most about Stronghold Crusader 2 is that they made mercenary camps almost mandatory considering how fast the enemy moves. I still think the game is definitely worth it if you like strategy.

All Stronghold games have free modes where you can build your castle the way you want with no fear of being attacked. But it also has campaign mode and it's a strategy game. You will be against AI opponents all the time so in campaign there is building, strategy, resource management and combat. I hope this helps a little bit with your decision making :)

I'm curious about the same thing. Just from the video on Steam it looks like an interesting game, although the mixed reviews makes me hesitate. I'll try to find some real reviews later, and remember to check this discussion. Also, I see what you did there :D

It's a RTS game like Age of Empires, Empire Earth, Rise of Nations, ...

IMO Stronghold Crusader & Stronghold Crusader Extreme are the best of the series.

Stronghold Crusader 2 is good for MP, SP is not that good if you play skirmish or campaigns.

Can anyone explain how to solve such puzzles? T_T I won't enter but I just want to understand because I see them everytime and I have no idea what to do :(

have you played the old ones? its not as good as those, the hole concept of this games is to be a castle simulator, if your into that might wanna try and play the first one in HD.

I think stronghold legends is the more HD version and fun version of it if u like games like AoE u like stronghold probably :D
