considered this but makes the phone quite heavy. also i do not like touching plastic and the otterbox has this screen protector foil that just feels wrong..

Otterbox is the best on the market though (AFAIK), and if you have a problem with it, they'll replace it for free (the otterbox, NOT the phone).

I never use cases. Make my phone look fat as fuck, and I never drop it or scratch it anyway. 1 year of use, looks pretty new.

I'd get a nice bumper and a glass screen protector. The idea being that the bumper would dampen shocks from any drops, and the glass screen protector would offer a good disposable display surface with virtually no added thickness.

No ideas for cases but my tip is throwing your Apple Phone out off the windows because its trash :D 1 case doesn't help iphones you would need 2 pillows :P

Any case with the Union Jack on it seems to be the popular choice, mate.
There's also that iDroid case from MGSV GZ but not so sure if you can get it for cheap these days.

On my iPhone 6 I used a Spigen Tough Armor case. on my iPhone 6C I am using an apple silicone case (blue).
The Spigen case is pretty tough and doesn't add much bulk to the phone. Couple it with a Spigen Crystal Screen Protector for great protection.
