Cool pics! I wonder where some of the older games, like the original Zelda, would fall.

No. I just know that the size of the map is 16 by 8 screens.

It's fascinating how huge the map was for its age. I'm playing through Morrowind atm

I actually only played Skyrim out of all the TES.

You probably wouldn't like TES 2...

Because the graphics and everything in Skyrim is far superior?
Well, I am a bit of a retrogamer actually.

No, because Daggerfall is fucking bitching hard and you have sometimes brutal time limits on every single quest.

Heh. Gaming newbies. Got to love them. ;) I played Daggerfall when I was 5. It was awesome. Loved TES since then.

Not really gaming newbie (I'm twenty, and I've been playing since I was like... 3 or 4). I just never really came across TES, well my dad has Morrowind, but I was never allowed to play his games.

JC2, I can't believe how damn fun this game is. Getting totally distracted on the way to an objective is the best, love it.

Same. Just Cause 2 will always stay high in my favorite games. One day, I'll be old and I'll say "Ahh, the nostalgia..." When I'll see something about the game. I hope Mad Max will be something close to it, because I have a feeling it'll take over JC2. May it rest in peace. :"(

JC2 is a fantastic time-waster. It completely surprised me because I hated the demo. It just seemed dull and brown, but the actual game has a wide variety of vehicles and climates. There's just so much screwing around to be had. Although, I'll never be able to 100$ it, because one of the destroyables (a generator, I think) got bugged and I didn't get credit for it. Still irks me.

It's a missing water tower. There's a mod to fix it somewhere... [EDIT] Here it is. http://www.justcause2mods.com/mods/Map/Islands/World-location-settings/

Thanks, though. That just makes me want to get it on PC some day. Well, that and some of the other mods I've seen, like unlimited tethers. There are some hilarious JC2 video from the antics people had with mods.

I always use mods. It's not the best way to play, it's the ONLY way. Except, of course, if you don't want to cheat... But you can still mod the skins! :D

As a side-note, I don't see World of Warcraft in there. I'm trying to imagine the next Witcher game which is supposed to be something like 10x the size of WoW.

Wow, that's interesting stuff. It really demonstrates that the size of the map means dick-all when it comes to the quality of the game. It doesn't matter how large the game is if there isn't anything fun to do in it.

Si! I'm always thrilled when someone recognizes it. It was a hidden gem of a game and is really a symbol for my favorite type of games: ones I approach with very little or no preconceptions and which blow me away. I got it new for $5 in a bargain rack years ago.

Yeah, I played it when I was a kid, my dad got it for me. It is till this day one of my favorite games, and one i need to replay eventually. But I have to say that this is the first time I meet someone else who had play it, which is a pity.

I'm loving the direction open world games are going. Still, it pisses me off a lot of these games do not give a lot of good travel options. (when I say a lot, I am exaggerating... but Fallout still kinda pisses me off)
