Puzzle time?

Solved the first part for now, doc. I think the next one(s) will have to wait until morning!

this puzzle is really easy. i know the answer but it won't accept it.

So, the hint is flow, it's flow through a tube. This is important as flow through tubes is happening all around you (water pipes/gas pipes in your house)! About 200 years ago there were some interesting people trying to figure things out about this, to this day we still name a specific flow after his name.
