Incorrect. Most games will leave the save data behind on your machine after the local content is deleted. You may have to hunt around a bit to find it though. However, this isn't 100% and there are certain games that will remove the saves as well when uninstalled. So always back up your save data before uninstalling just in case.

It varies from game to game. A lot of games store their save data outside of the Steam folder, in which case they are completely safe. Hell, even some games that do save it to the Steam folder don't delete the folder outright, so you're safe in that case as well! However.. some games do save to the steam folder and do delete the steam folder outright so.. there really is no hard and fast answer to this question.

^^ this is the correct answer. You can try a program like GameSave Manager as an additional tool if you are concerned about it.

Most of the time, the save data is saved to your My Documents. At least, that is where all my games save to.

I just want to know this for sure before I do anything I'll regret.
Does that mean that you delete the game AND the save data, or just the game?
