Anyone heard about this game? It looks very impressive for a game developed by a lone unfunded game developer.

Lost Soul Aside - TrailerHD

The game is inspired from famous games of the same genre such as FFXV, Devil May Cry and Ninja Gaiden. The developer (Yang Bing) was contacted by popular game companies and studios including Sony and Epic Games after his first reveal trailer went viral (over two million views). Apparently he was hesitant about accepting their offers but recently began considering the release of his game, after over 2 years in "quiet" development.

This is a very audacious project and the developer seems like a honest and nice person. I kinda hope this game will be released on PC, even better if it's on Steam. It appears that he doesn't want his game to become an exclusive title which is great. Anyways, just sharing this because I hadn't heard of it much about it anywhere before and why not.

Yep, same concern over here. But I'm pretty sure he won't agree to do anything without making sure he agrees with it, he seems extremely attached to his project and is more interested in accomplishing a "perfect" game rather than getting any money out of it.

I personally think that signing up with a smaller company would be better. The game is already well off, it has a handful of fans already and does not need a huge amount of work to really turn it into a "real" game. Sony will be more interested in the profit than the game obviously. Also they tend to focus on releasing the game on their consoles and screw over other platforms which really sucks for developers.

I know that hype trains are bad and all, but holy fucking shit, this game seems to combine everything that I love about hack'n'slash titles. Wishing the dev all the best with his game since he is so incredibly passionate about it.

Heh, I have a rule where I never "promote" games on the forum, but this one really caught my attention.

I only have one question. Why does the character has to be Japanese -_-

Why not, the developer is Korean so obviously the character will have Asian facial features (not even necessarily Japanese).
And why does it matter?

Oh, ok I thought I was an american indie studio.

It doesn't matter really, it's just annoying to see that all these kind of games need to have Japanese character

Woah, that looks really good - and a lot more impressive that it's a one-man project.

Nice! Timed exclusive means there's a chance of it coming to PC. The developer seem to really care about it being released on multiple platforms, so I have my hopes up.

It's starting to look more n more like a proper fusion of GoW/ DMC/ PoP ( n throw in all the rest of the classics) and to an extent a soulsy MH crossover with , why of course, a touch of real-time FFs. Nier might have a true competitor at some point. . .

I doubt this was the work of a single person, but it does look cool!
Maybe a crowdfunding campaign might be better than a Sony or some other company purchasing it and making something different than what the creator had in mind.

Used to be, but not anymore. They have a team of about a dozen people working on the game at this time, I believe.
