What is your favourite X-mas Movie and why?

Either....

Scrooged because Bill Murray is the hero we don't deserve.

or

It's a Wonderful Life because its an absolute classic!

Alongside all this, I always watch Groundhog day during the holiday season even though its not a Christmas film per se!

i wathced them so often on christmas and they are still great

die hard... because die hard, man.. come on...

or nightmare before christmas, because its got great songs, wonderful animation, is well voice acted, and delightfully surreal... plus a neat story.

Santa Clause. I don't really have a reason, I just really like that film.

Gremlins... and The nightmare before Xmas.

As for why, I think it's just that A- gizmo is too cute for words B- childhood nostalgia and for the second, I love the songs.

A Christmas Story. I watch it every year, and have watched it for decades. I love this movie!:)

I had one, but can't remember what it was. Damned senility.

Anyway, just started to watch Hogfather, which is Christmas related and quite enjoyable so far.

Santa Claus Is a Stinker is, like wikipedia says, a cult movie here in France. It still makes me laugh hard, even if I saw it a dozen time in the past 30 years :)
Another one I like very much is Bad Santa.
To answer the "why": because I'm bad taste oriented, and both of these movies made me laugh for real.
