Hello Friends

Satisfaction level - 100% [Till now]

Total Money Spent In Both Sales = $130.2 in Indian Currencies

What i didn't liked about this sale

  1. Ubisoft games were pricey, even though they were discounted to 60-75%, though they increased their retail prices, and the OLDEST games in Assassin's creed that should were sold for about a dollar or two in 2016, are now increased 3 times the price.

  2. Not only this, even the HITMAN 2016 version i purchased was available for $7 in last year, and recently due to the addition of just one dlc, they doubled the prices, sad move eidos interactive.

  3. The only game that i thought will be available for a hefty discount was the evil within 2, but later i noticed they increased the retail from 1999 to 2999, during the sales time, again the cheap move by bethesda.

  4. Although i was expecting a 75% discount on DOOM game, but that didn't happened

  5. And the last but not the least, the OLDEST call of duty games, SHOULD BE AVAILABLE for 90% or 75% discount, All the major publishers, and game developers should decrease the prices of those games that don't have that much online content available, like AC1,2,brotherhood,revelation and also the POP series, they should be available with hefty 85-90% discounts, as we like to support the developers, but the prices were not justified

I hope next time, steam will do something about that, even though that's least expected, but I'll be waiting :) :)

So far it seems everyone did purchased heavily, and really surprised to see and check a few new games, that I'm thinking to buy in the next sale.

While commenting please mention the following things in short :)

  1. Which games did you purchased?
  2. From where did you purchased [Country if possible]?
  3. What are your views about this sale?

Wow, how much is the total, and where's your region from :)

Argentina. I'll start by saying that in my country, $1 dollar = $28,50 pesos argentinos. But with the new regional prices, $1 dollar = $12,50 pesos argentinos (this is the price that I've paid, else, it wouldn't been possible).
$1209,99 Pesos argentinos in total. holy fuck.
$96,76 dollars (regional price)
$42,45 dollars (what it really would've costed)

Yeah, but it with the regional prices, the dollar is cheaper on Steam. That's why I made that clarification.

There ain't no need of regional price conversion and different regions have different store prices

ROTR is $5 here in india whereas it's $20 there

So just convert the amount of money you've spent and we'll understand :D

Wow, your list is really long, How much you spend in total for all these games, and from where did you purchased them?

Everything after the bit about "The following all came in a Steam bundle" was part of the Just1337 bundle on Steam. As I mentioned, it was something like 98% off. Mostly I bought those games for the card drops. Some of them are good games (those are the ones I'd already owned and had to delete from my account before I could buy the bundle).
Here's the bundle: https://store.steampowered.com/bundle/2164/Just1337_Complete_Bundle/

These here I bought from a reseller site, most had been bundled somewhere recently.
Death Road to Canada
Gothic Universe (all three games)
JYDGE
Rakuen
For The King

The rest were either just directly on sale, or I got them with additional discounts via "Complete Your Collection" bundles. Those bundles can REALLY work to your advantage when a series gets older and you've got everything but one or two (usually the latest). Those are the games that tend to get hefty discounts (66-80%) during Steam sales. One purchase you WON'T see on there s Borderlands the Pre-Sequel. That one I'd got for a measly $4 because I owned everything else in the Give Up Your Life (or something like that) bundle. I refunded it given that I thought I'd never play the game while I'm just starting Borderlands 2. Next sale, probably.

I would guesstimate I probably spent $40-50 on those? Maybe a bit more, factoring some money I had sitting on Steam from cards I've sold.

Nothing. Nothing I wanted had a big enough sale to make it worth the cost.

Want the Final Fantasy games, but 50% is still too expensive. Especially when I already own them on cartridge/disc meaning I can load up them that way or just use emulators.

If you liked Parallel Lines you should try San Francisco (sadly not available anymore). It's a pure arcade racing game without the GTA walking sections, really fun to play and brought the series back on the right track again.

For Steam sales with cards given when purchasing a certain amount, I try to hit as close to the exact number as possible (so $10, $20, etc.).

For this summer sale I got:

Republique
Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Edition
Aragami
Slap City
Gremlins, Inc.

Been wanting to get into the AC franchise since about 2016, the first game hadn't gone past 66% off on Steam since 2015. Finally caved in and got it.

Everything is on hold for now as I try out Rocket League during free weekend though.

I created my steam account way back in 2012, but it was the 2016 summer sale, when i earned my first salary, and thought to buy a game, and at that time, the games, especially the old games, were so damn cheap, but at that time, i was a newbie and i didn't have any experience regarding the sales or whatsoever.

I still cry sometimes, because back at that time, in 2016, the ac1, ac2, acb, acr all were around 101INR - 165INR($1-$2) at max, and now they increase the bar to $4-$5, which is very sad and that's the reason i don't buy huge games in steam sale, as the other stores (cdkeys) and all, provide sometimes way cheaper.

Still India is one of the second cheapest steam market in the world, but still the prices of those old games, must be revised, considering that they're very very old, a decade old at times.

And yeah, the evil within 2 is 2999 in amazon here in INDIA. sorry i forgot to mention that in the reasons.

But yeah, you were right about one thing, that if we find something <$10 and is already on 75% discount, then it's a instabuy

I think the ORIGIN sales were pretty much good, as compared to Steam Sales, considering they're offering 75% discounts on Battlefield 1 and NFS Payback, and even on Titanfall 2 and others..
