Right now there is a pretty good offer for a Prince of Persia Bundle on gog.com

It contains the following items:

PRINCE OF PERSIA®: THE SANDS OF TIME 2003, Action
PRINCE OF PERSIA: WARRIOR WITHIN 2004, Action
PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE TWO THRONES 2005, Action
PRINCE OF PERSIA 2008, Action

A friend of mine once bought a Prince of Persia Bundle on Steam that contained the ones mentioned plus The Forgotten Sands, but this pack/collection is nowhere to be found.

So what I am asking myself and also you: is the gog.com bundle worth getting or do you think the Steam PoP Bundle containing all the PoP games will be back - maybe even on the next sale? Or shall I take my chances and grab them now on gog?

And while I'm at it, here's a little giveaway for y'all.

Probably not included on GOG because the game uses UPlay DRM.

I imagine the pack will return during the holiday sale, many packs like that are sale exclusives. Still, if the GOG pack is a good price, it can't hurt to grab that and buy the other game by itself. Just be sure to get it sometime, its actually my favourite in the series after Sands of Time.

The games don't have cards, achievements or any other added value if you buy them on Steam.
And you don't even know if the pack will be back and at what price.

So I suggest you get the games on GOG if you want them ;)

Thanks you two, this pretty much answers all the questions I had. Gonna sleep over it now and decide then if I enlarge my backlog even more...

That's actually a pretty good deal. I'd pay $10 for DRM-free copies of all four games.

A tenner is good for the Sands trilogy alone, and if the game is not enough, there's extras included, such as Warrior Within's metal soundtrack and stuff. I didn't regret getting it.

+1 I already on the Steam versions and I'm almost tempted to pick up the GoG versions also.

if they're not region locked you can probably get them cheaper with trading even if that pack won't come back. the tricky part is Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands™ Digital Deluxe Edition, which is almost same price with standard edition, comes with free Prince of Persia®: The Sands of Time. considering the trader's share it won't make much difference anyway so if you want them drm-free, it might be a good idea to go for this "bundle" and pick the one title you're missing later at a sale. i gotta say that i don't like gog's bundles though. because the sum price is not reduced. what's the point of bundle then?

I was tempted enough to buy the bundle. Thanks to everybody sharing his/her opinion with me :)

Is it important to play them in the order they were released?

There're some references back to other games especially in two thrones, so I'd recommend playing it in the proper order, at least the trilogy.

Sands of Time, Warrior Within, The Two Thrones are part of a trilogy. The Forgotten Sands is shoehorned in between Sands of Time and Warrior Within, but can be played after the three games. Prince of Persia (2008) is a its own series and doesn't require previous knowledge from the other games.
