not to mention Dayz Mod for Arma 2 is free - so you get one of the best ever mil sims and zombie games all in one. 100's of hours of gameplay for 4.99 - if you think it might be for you then I suggest jumping on it.

I dont know if I'm the only one, but I still havent managed to make ARMA / Dayz (mod) work properly on my PC. It has problems I havent been able to solve, and I have had the game for months now. If you are sure your PC can run it fine, then go for it. (My PC is good enough to run it, but well...)

I just responded in an identical thread that has disappeared,
arrowhead provides a unique environment that is not present in arma 3
arma 2 has real life weapons whereas arma 3 not really, the size of the weapons choice also goes in favor of arma 2
the best mods, ACE and ACRE have not yet been adapted to arma 3
For those reasons arma 2 is still popular, especially among those playing it "pro" or "realistic", however once ACE and ACRE are adapted to arma 3 the shift should be strong towards the latest especially on public servers.
As to the money yes, its worth it.

Arma 2 is 80% off right now. Combined Operations (Arma 2 + Operation Arrowhead) is $4.99. Is it worth it? Do a lot of people still play it? Or has everyone moved on to Arma 3?
