About Life is strange's soundtrack and general discussion (SPOILERS INSIDE)

So after finishing life is strange episode 4 the other day I wanted to go back and listen to Life is strange's amazing soundtrack again. But I struggled. From every song I listened to the feels of what exactly was happening in the episode came back to me. Especially listening to "Mountains" Which was the end of episode 4's song. It's just so sad. Fuck life is strange for making me feel just for listening to music. Anyone else feel this way too.

You can also use this thread for a general discussion about Life is Strange as well if you like since I wanted to make a thread for it as well. What's everyone think about the ending to episode 4. It's so horrible to watch Chloe die just so suddenly. And then to find out Mr Jefferson did it. How are you even meant to comprehend that ending. I mean Fuck! What a hell of an ending!

I have so many things to say about LiS, so please, bear with me.

  1. Mountains was always my favorite song from the soundtrack. It will always be. Of course I like all the others, and when we hit the party I literally jumped in my seat to every single beat whilst playing.

  2. I gotta find the name of all of those party songs! Much better than the ones I hear when I go to parties!

  3. In the last episode, there was only one moment I cried. When I killed Chloe. Yes I did. Yes I died. I'm a very sentimental person, so I guess I can say this episode is my least favorite of them all (even though I still liked it, of course).

  4. I blamed Mr. Jefferson when I had the opportunity to do so. I knew it all along. Before reading theories, before knowing about the low percentage of players that picked him as Bat-Max's Lex Luthor. I just knew it. I've never liked him. Although, I gotta say... He is pretty handsome and all his good attributes end there.

  5. Chloe. How many times have we seen her die? Too many to count! The universe wanted her dead. It's life is strange.

Questions for OP and other hipster peeps:

  1. Do you think Mark Jefferson knows about Max's superpowers?
  2. Do you think Rachel is really dead?
  3. What's the meaning behind the disappearing second moon and deer?

  1. Yeah that ones great. Although my personal favourite is crosses.
  2. I'd love to know them too. Kinda annoying that there not in the official soundtrack. It's missing quite a lot actually.
  3. You know that moment may have been horrible but I thought the bit near the start of the episode where you had to make a decision of whether Chloe lives or dies was even worse. It took me forever to make that decision. Even if that decision won't affect anything in the long run that was such a horrible decision to have to put onto someone!
  4. What made you think it was him? I had literally no idea. Never suspected him in the slightest. The only thing that was a bit suspicious was the amount he seemed to be around in the last episode.
  5. Yeah i've heard people saying that. Never really thought of it like that. So do you not think shes gonna be coming back alive then?

  6. Hmm tough question. I mean as I said he did seem to acting suspiciously in the last episode. But I don't think that was anything to do with that. Although then again he did drug her suprisingly quickly after killing chloe making me think me may have knew about it and wanted to make sure that she didn't rewind time?
  7. Sadly yes. I don't think theres any chance of her coming back. Especially if chloe is now dead since shes the last person that cared about her. But then again we never actually saw the body in the body bag. Maybe it was another body?
  8. I have no idea to be honest. The only thing i've heard is that people have suggested the deer is maxes (? It might have been chloes) spirit animal. Other than that I haven't been following any theorys so dunno.

edit: for some reason SG decided to screw with my list and I can't have 2 seperate lists! :(

Questions

  1. He drugged her before killing Chloe. With a specific drug that made Max lose her powers for a bit. He knew where the two of them were going. On top of that: Max's powers are related to photography. What is Jefferson? Photography expert. Ha has been on her tail ever since the beginning of the first episode. He called Chloe cool, but she hanged out with Rachel whom we all know he knew well. Do you think he seriously didn't know who Chloe was? Plus: He aimed right at her head. And got it right on the first shot. Now only did he know where to shoot, but he shot it right.
  2. The thought that it's another body occurred to me. I really don't want to believe Life is Strange will end without us seeing Rachel at some point. It would feel too empty. Plus, a piece of it all is missing. I just know it is.
  3. Some people say it's "Rachel's soul". Plus, when they went to the dumpster for the first time, the deer was sitting right where Rachel's body was.

About your edit: It's because you have to separate them with a headline. Try adding one, two or three "hashtags" before what you type next time. The fewer hashtags, the bigger the text. (:

I'm pretty neutral when it comes to Chloe. She's a selfish person, but at the same time she's a victim of the circumstances and that particular scene in question was quite heartwrenching.

That was the second time I felt strong sympathy for her (the first being the alternate reality).
The scene was beautifully choreographed: the music, the pacing and Chloe's emotional breakdown to complete it. It was a powerful scene, to see her break down and show the other side of her.

I didn't feel this at the end of the episode when she died. Maybe because Chloe is pretty much the Kenny McCormick or the Krillin of this show. She always comes back, no matter what.
